Young Sheldon, a hit show on CBS, is taking a short break again, but when it comes back, it will finally air its 100th episode. This season of the Big Bang Theory spin-off is coming to an end.
There are only a few more episodes to go before it ends. Young Sheldon's next episode will have to wait for a long time again. Considering that it will be a big moment in the show's history, though, it should be worth the wait.
Young Sheldon season 5 may be the most diverse episode of the prequel series so far. It has a lot of different stories. As a result, it didn't just focus on Sheldon (Iain Armitage) alone. It gave each member of the Cooper family their own story, as well. George (Lance Barber) is Sheldon's father.
He's had a rough few months, but it's been interesting to see how things have changed. A few weeks ago, he tried to hide his feelings for Brenda Spark's (Melissa Peterman) and saw his wife, Mary (Zoe Perry), having more fun at work with another co-worker than with him. Now, he's having problems at work. He has a new girlfriend, too. Meanwhile, Georgie's business is doing well, and he has a new girlfriend.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the fifth season of Young Sheldon didn't come out for a few weeks. There was a break in the middle of February because of the Winter Olympics. Viewers, on the other hand, will have to wait for another episode because of CBS' programming change. There will be a 100th episode of Young Sheldon season 5 when it comes back for its fifth season.
How Does Young Sheldon End up in the Movie?
Prequel: Young Sheldon is a show about The Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons. It is a prequel. Fans got to know and love the socially awkward but brilliant scientist thanks to allusions to his childhood in Texas, like his religious mother, his more outgoing twin sister, his love for his grandmother, and more. With Young Sheldon, fans are getting to see more of what made Sheldon Sheldon grow even more.
Besides, it has also talked more about the relationship between Sheldon and his father. It looks like that will be a big part of season 5, though. Warning: SPOILER ALERT here.
We know from The Big Bang Theory that Sheldon's father died when he was a child, and later in the show, we learn that he also had an affair, which Sheldon found out about by accident. Season 4 of Young Sheldon is over, and these storylines for George Sr. start to come into play at the end of the season.
George and Mary were fighting at the end of season 4. George was angry and went to a bar. Brenda Sparks, who has recently split up, comes up to George and asks if he wants some company. George agrees. We also know from the penultimate episode of the season that George will die too soon, as Jim Parsons' older Sheldon tells the show.
George Sr. is still around as we move on to season 5.
Who is in the Young Sheldon Cast?
Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper in the original series, is back as Sheldon Cooper in the prequel series. Iain Armitage, a young actor, plays the young Sheldon Cooper. It doesn't matter that Armitage is only 13 years old. He already has a lot of big roles on his resume, like in Our Souls at Night and Big Little Lies on HBO.
Sheldon's grandmother Meemaw is played by Annie Potts. Zoe Perry plays Mary Cooper and Lance Barber plays George Cooper Sr., Montana Jordan plays Georgie Cooper, Raegan Revord plays Missy Cooper, and Annie Potts plays Sheldon's favourite grandmother Meemaw, who is played by Annie Potts.
Wallace Shawn, Wyatt McClure, Ryan Phuong, Matt Hobby, Doc Farrow, Melissa Peterman, and Craig T. Nelson are some of the other actors who appear in the show. IMDb has the full cast list.
