What Can People Expect From the Fourth Season of You?
In season 4 of You, viewers can expect to see more than just Joe start over in a new city. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote his new podcast, Podcrushed, Badgley said that he “would sure hope” Joe would change his volatile personality.
But he also said that things keep getting in the way of his growth. “He is trying to change because the problem is mostly inside of him and not so much outside of him. He always tries, fails, and tries again.” Badgley also talked about other things that will change in season 4.

“The tone is the same, but the format is different, which is a change. We're doing things differently, “He gave a reason. “We're almost changing the type of music a little bit. I think it works, too.”

In April, Netflix also showed photos of Penn working on the set. The new season of the show was announced on the official Instagram account for the show. “I'm feeling YOU-4-IC. Season 4 of YOU is now being made.”

When we last saw Joe, he was going by the name “Nick,” and he had just arrived in Paris to look for Marienne, who is from Paris. We know that most of You season 4 will take place in London, but a few short episodes will be set in Paris.
There haven't been any new details about the story, but Joe's past still haunts him enough to be upset this season.
Scenes were filmed at Royal Holloway, the University of London, which suggests a university setting for at least some of the season. In a video students at Royal Holloway have seen, Joe (or Nick) is dressed like a professor. Maybe he has found a new job over there.
