World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) returns with WWE 2k22 after a rocky start with WWEK 2k20. Hopefully, a two-year break from the series has remedied many of the issues that plagued the prior installment. As far as release dates and GM Mode are concerned, here's all we know so far:
Release of WWE 2K20 immediately became a nightmare for 2K Sports. More than one YouTube channel was dedicated to highlighting the game's shortcomings. As a result of the outcry, 2K had to scrap WWE 2K21 and start over.
Two years later, WWE 2K22 aims to make apologies with a new release and the return of a favorite game mode.

Release Date
Early access to the game begins on March 8 for those who purchase the more expensive editions, but the game will be available to everyone on March 11, 2022, when it launches worldwide.
Because of the cancellation of 2K21 and the consequent delays, this release date differs from the traditional October release date for previous games.
A revised release date, on the other hand, might work wonders, as WWE fans will be able to get their hands on the new championship before this year's Wrestlemania, which takes place in April.
Platforms
On the most popular platforms, such as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, WWE 2K22 is slated to be a significant release in 2019.
How the previous-generation and newer versions will compare is still up in the air. Assuming recent examples of other brands are any indication, we should expect to witness a difference in visual fidelity, load times, and possibly included functionality as a result of the change in engine technology.
Gameplay & Gm Mode
On November 19, 2021, 2K released a trailer for WWE 2K22, which highlighted the game's most notable features, including the reintroduction of GM Mode, which was previously unavailable. With the return of the much-requested mode, which was last seen in Smackdown vs. Raw in 2008, WWE fans may now enjoy the feature once more.
The newly redesigned “MyGM Mode” allows the world's best fantasy wrestling bookers to create their own rosters and legendary storylines and feuds by collaborating with other bookers. Despite the fact that they are trying to balance a budget, players must make the most of their abilities, generate compelling rivalries and matches, and position their brand as dominant as possible.
2K also marketed a slew of additional facets of the game's gameplay, including the following:

A look at the game's gameplay was given to us on February 2, 2022, when we saw it in action for the first time. According to the WWE 2K22 Art Producer Christina Diem Pham, WWE 2K22 has the greatest visuals of any WWE game to date.
There are now over 55 playable arenas in the game, including WWE Superdome, which was released in 2021. The game's lighting and VFGX have been improved.
Wrestling action has also been entirely overhauled to appear smoother and make the game flow more naturally. When it comes to grappling assaults, the wrestler's height and weight, among other factors, will play a role in determining what kind of attack to use.
New ‘Breaker' moves have been added to the gameplay, allowing players to counter and even reverse a move by pressing the relevant prompt. Additionally, nimble wrestlers, like Rey Mysterio, can be dealt with by combatants who can duck and block.
Cover Art
It's no surprise that Lucha libre expert Rey Mysterio is this year's cover star, as he appears on both the basic edition and the deluxe edition of the book.
The cover of the NWO 4-Life Edition is also unique.
Showcase Mode
With Rey Mysterio as the cover star, he'll also serve as the focal point of the Showcase mode.
It is possible to enter the ring as Rey Mysterio and take part in his iconic confrontations with the likes of ‘HBK' Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and the memorable showdown at Wrestlemania 21 versus the late great Eddie Guerrero.
Trailers
So far, 2K has published two separate trailers for the next WWE game, both of which are available here. One is the “hit list” trailer for the game's gameplay features, which was previously reported, and the other is the highly anticipated reveal trailer. Following the turmoil and outcry produced by WWE 2K20, fans were excited to see what the passage of time and growth would bring to the next title.

Pre-order Bonuses and Editions
As in recent years, WWE 2K22 is expected to include a number of exclusive bonuses as part of the pre-order incentives and premium edition upgrades, and this year will be no exception.
Despite the fact that nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, early leaks appear to have proven that everything is on its way.
Deluxe Edition
WWE 2K22's Deluxe Edition includes a slew of bonus features. Here are some of them. First and foremost, players who purchase this version will receive three days of early access, starting on March 8, which will be available to them.
This edition also includes the inaugural Season Pass, as well as the Undertaker Immortal Pack, which will be discussed in greater detail below.
Undertaker Immortal Pack
According to reports, the Undertaker Immortal Pack will be included as a pre-order bonus this year. In this one-of-a-kind supplement, the Undertaker appears in three different personas: the Phantom Mask Undertaker, the Lord of Darkness Undertaker, and the Boneyard Match Undertaker.
A MyFaction EVO card for the Undertaker, as well as a variety of Perks and Bonuses, are also included with the purchase of this bundle.
Nwo 4-life Edition
For those who don't like for any of the options listed above, there is one more version to take into consideration: nWo 4-Life Edition.
Prospective customers will be enticed by the availability of “nWo versions” of the group's founding members Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, and Scott Hall, along with subsequent members X-Pac and Eric Bischoff.
On top of all of that, the edition includes two bonus wrestling arenas, the classic nWo Wolfpac Championship, and a slew of other bonus features.
Legends & Roster
At this point, it's impossible to predict who will make the final roster. More WWE superstars have been unveiled in the last year, and that number is only expected to grow in the coming months.
Whatever the case may be, we now have a complete roster. It includes current WWE Superstars, as well as a wide variety of WWE alumni, both recent and well-known.
