Women of the Movement Season 2-Women of the Movement is a six-episode ABC anthology series based on Emmett Till's 1955 murder and his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, who later became an activist as she demanded justice, sparking the civil rights movement. ABC produced a teaser trailer and a behind-the-scenes look after announcing the show's premiere date.
“Today is the 65th anniversary of 14-year-old Emmett Till's horrible murder. The relentless quest for justice by Emmett's mother, Mamie Till- Mobley, will be highlighted in this limited series. ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke told Deadline last year. “Their storey contains unspeakable agony and brutality, as well as a mother's unshakable love for her child, sparking a movement that prepared the path for today's racial justice movement.” We're incredibly proud to be bringing their storey to ABC with the help of an all-star production team.”

Is there going to be a second season of ‘Women of the Movement'?
Women of the Movement Season 2 has not yet been renewed by ABC, however, this does not rule out a renewal. It's intended to be an anthology series, and there's a lot more to say about the civil rights movement. The ratings will be considered by ABC to help determine the fate of the limited series, just as they are for any other network television show. Women of the Movement fans should tell their friends and family about the show if they want it to continue.

Women of the Movement premieres two episodes per week on ABC on January 6, January 13, and January 20. The six-episode historical limited series will also be available the next day on Hulu. ABC News has also premiered Let the World See, a companion series to the historical drama that follows.
What Do the Movement's Women Look Like?
Based on Devery S. Anderson's book Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement, the ABC series will tell the storey of Till's life and death. Till, a posthumous civil rights figure, was a 14-year-old Mississippi boy who was murdered by a white mob in 1955 after being falsely accused of “offending” a white woman under Jim Crow-era South regulations. The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the acquittal of his killers (who later freely admitted to their crime in an interview a year later) infuriated the Black community. Till-kid Mobley's was famously buried in an open coffin, allowing reporters to publish photographs of the horrific nature of Till's attack. She dedicated her life to the civil rights movement, working as a teacher and activist and attempting to educate people about what happened to her son until her death in 2003 at the age of 81 from heart failure.
The Women's Movement's Storyline:
A disaster devastated the country, according to a mother movement. When the restricted series is released, you'll be able to hear her storey. Many of us are familiar with the tragedy of Emmett Till, a little boy who was brutally and savagely murdered in 1955 – but we don't realise it's due to his mother, Mamie, who pledged to make the world aware of her son's death.
Women Of The Movement, a limited series based on Mamie's life, courage, and impact, premieres Thursday at 8/7c on ABC and Hulu, thanks to close collaboration with members of the Till family. We observed how intrinsic discrimination impacts Black women's health, as well as Mamie's suffering and hardships while giving birth to her son, Emmett.
