How Watchmen Season 1 Ended?
As the Kavalry prepare to attack, Angela runs to defend Manhattan, who recognises this as the time he fell in love with her and assists her in fending them off, knowing that one final Kavalry member is still alive and ready to catch him with a tachyon cannon. Angela accepts Manhattan's dinner invitation in 2009.
The Game Warden gives a captive Veidt another anniversary cake in a post-credits scene. Veidt discovers a horseshoe cooked within and begins constructing an escape tunnel with pleasure. Veidt gets picked up by Trieu's spaceship after writing “Save Me Daughter” on Europa. When Trieu activates a machine she built to take Manhattan's power for herself, she wants her father and Bian, a clone of her mother, to be present.
While Joe prepares to acquire his abilities, the Kavalry, in collaboration with the Cyclops commanders, conquer Manhattan. Laurie learns Wade is still alive and well, posing as a member of the Kavalry. Trieu teleports the setup to downtown Tulsa just as the Kavalry activate their system, finds Joe has melted into slime, and kills the Cyclops commanders.
Manhattan uses the distraction to transfer Veidt, Laurie, and Wade to Karnak, where Veidt reworks his squid-rain system to crush Trieu's invention, killing Trieu in the process. Angela seeks refuge at the theatre with Will and her children, where Will confesses that Manhattan had collaborated with him to bring this essential outcome to fruition.
Using a duplicate of the 1985 footage, Laurie and Wade bring Veidt to justice. Angela recalls Manhattan's comment about spreading his talents through an organic medium while washing up eggs from the night before.
