If the first half of Hulu's A Teacher seemed to praise Eric's (Nick Robinson) and Claire Wilson's (Kate Mara) abusive relationship, the second half shows how horrific the experience was for the kid. The last episode, which premiered on December 29, brings the two back together 10 years after they originally met, but although Claire has moved on, Eric is still coping with the aftereffects of her abuse.

Claire has remarried, has two kids, and lives in Houston in the year 2024. Eric organises therapeutic wilderness retreats and returns to Austin for his high school reunion after a two-day journey. Eric reunites with Logan and Josh during the reunion, as well as Alison, with whom he rebuilds their strained relationship by hooking up in her hotel room. Claire sends Eric a text message requesting to meet for lunch.
At the meal, the conversation becomes tense, and Eric expresses his resentment of Claire, adding that he blamed himself for years before discovering that she had taken advantage of him. What is The Scope of a Teacher Season 2
There is unlikely to be a second season of A Teacher because it was developed and launched as a limited series. It's not unheard of a limited series to be renewed (see Big Little Lies or The Flight Attendant), thus Season 2 of A Teacher could be ordered by Hulu in the coming months.
Wrapping Up
Hulu usually announces renewals soon after a programme premieres (or, if they have a weekly release, shortly after the final episode airs). Given that schedule, if Hulu purchases A Teacher Season 2, the announcement might come as early as early 2021.
