What Does Report Suggest About Mighty Ducks Game Changers?
According to a Deadline article published Friday, the studio chose not to bring Estevez back for season 2 following weeks of talks between Disney Television Studios' ABC Signature (which produces the series) and Estevez's team over the show's COVID vaccine need. The studio moved on when the actor — who also worked as executive producer on the programme — refused to clarify whether he would comply with the vaccination obligation.
While the first season was largely shot during the epidemic, Season 2 has a new vaccine requirement. As stipulated in the most recent Return-to-Work agreement between Hollywood studios and unions, everyone identified as Zone A — a.k.a. the cast and any worker that comes into close touch with them — is supposed to get vaccinated.
Gordon Bombay will no longer be writing the scripts for season 2 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. What this implies for the Don't Bothers hockey team, where he was one of two coaches with Lauren Graham's Alex Morrow, remains to be seen.
The most significant plot alteration, though, will be the loss of the dynamic between the two coaches, which was hinted at in the season 1 conclusion as a potential romantic future for the two characters. Will Joshua Jackson finally make his long-awaited return to the organisation as Charlie Conway now that there's a vacant coaching position? After all, ducks flock together as they fly.

Kiefer O'Reilly played the role of Logan
After his parents split, he relocated to Minnesota as a member of the Don't Bothers. He shares a street with Evan and Nick with his father. Logan had problems skating despite having a lot of pro hockey equipment until Bombay helped him conquer it and discovered he has an aptitude for stick-handling. He is the latest member of the Don't Bothers to score.
Emilio Estevez played the role of Gordon Bombay
The proprietor of the Ice Palace and the initial coach of the Ducks. When the Don't Bothers start playing at the rink, he is discovered to be in a bad place and his love for the game is reignited. He then joins the Don't Bothers as an assistant coach and temporarily takes over as head coach when Alex is sacked before being reinstated.
Dylan Playfair played the role of as Coach T
The Mighty Ducks' pompous head coach, who dismisses Evan before attempting, albeit unsuccessfully, to reintegrate him into the club. He teases the Don't Bothers on a daily basis, referring to them as a “bunch of clowns.”
