She wrote on TikTok a few days before the song came out, “I’m crawling to my radiation so I can buy myself some time so I can see this song released.”
“I gave all the rights to my songs to my son so I could leave him behind something. I don’t have much.”
Janice's song “Dance You Outta My Head” went straight to the top of the TikTok Billboard Top 50 when it came out on January 19. After that, it made it to the top 10 of Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs list. Over 12.8 million times around the world, the song has been played on Spotify.

How did Cat Janice Die?
Janice passed away at home in Annandale, Virginia, on February 28, 2024, from cancer. In an Instagram post, her family shared with everyone that she had died. “This morning, from her childhood home and with her loved family by her side, Catherine entered the light and love of her heavenly creator,” the post says.
It also says, “We will always be grateful for all the love Catherine and our family have received over the past few months.” Cat's music has taken her to places she never thought it would, and she is happy knowing that it will continue to keep her son alive.
