How Did Markiplier Get Famous?
In 2012, Markiplier uploaded his first video on YouTube with the purpose of posting sketch comedy videos. As a result, he decided to develop his own game that he dubbed Markiplier (a portmanteau of “Mark” and “multiplier”).
He had 10 million subscribers by October 2015. When he moved in with Daniel Kyre and Ryan Magee, he began to earn notoriety. After Kyre passed away, they stopped running their YouTube sketch comedy channel and their music channel, Cyndago.
