Season two of “Euphoria” exposed viewers to dozens of new characters. One of those characters was Faye, a love interest played by Chloe Cherry, but rather than focusing on her emotional tale, some viewers obsessed with the actor's physical looks.
In a new interview with Variety, Cherry opened up about how much people have been talking about her appearance since the program began in January, notably focusing on the size of her lips.
Cherry noted that it was “strange” how much people were concentrated on her mouth.
“It feels unreal to have so many people say they loved you on the show, it truly does. At the same time, it’s crazy how many people talk about my lips being so big,” Cherry added.
Cherry has stated that while she is appreciating the “good replies” that her “fifteen minutes of fame” have offered, she finds it “surreal” that so many people are commenting on her physical looks.
Cherry stated, “It's nuts because you have to know that I got those lips at some point in my life and nobody reacted that way — at least not to my face.” “It's nuts because you have to realize that I acquired those lips at some point in my life,” Cherry remarked.
“It's kind of strange to see memes and other online content relating to it because the things that are being discussed are already on my body, but I never really got the point of all the hubbub.
I swore to myself that nobody in my life ever said, “Whoa, Chloe, those are insane.” But they did. I suppose this is what occurs when your name is recognized on a somewhat more widespread platform.”
After coming to California when she was 18 years old, Cherry worked in the adult film industry until she landed a recurring part on the television show “Euphoria.”
Cherry explains, “After feeling so repressed for such a long time, the freedom and expression that I was given by working in the adult industry was the initial thing that attracted me to it.”
Following the director Sam Levinson‘s request for the actor to audition for the part of Faye, the actor was cast in the role. Cherry couldn't contain her excitement, especially considering the fact that she's followed the show since the very first episode.
Cherry explained, “I had already been so into the show that I was already following every single cast member, and as we were shooting, I would discover that I already knew people's names on the set even if they had really minor parts because I had been so into the show.” “I thought it was so amazing in every way possible,” you may say.

Cherry felt the same way about her role. “a type of flowery, slutty bimbo, fairytale Y2K aesthetic,” was how she characterized Faye's sense of fashion.
She exclaimed, “I think it's quite cute!” when she saw it. “It's vibrant, which is one of the reasons I adore that aesthetic so much. I adore how Jules always looks so cute and put together. I think that she has a kawaii, cute, and funky sense of style in her wardrobe.”
The conclusion of “Euphoria's” second season will be broadcast on February 27, and the show has already been picked up for the third run of episodes.
Cherry has stated that if she were to have the ability to create the script for the upcoming season, she would have her character become closer to the character played by Zendaya.
“They'd hit it off without a doubt,” she remarked. “I believe that Faye, like Rue, has a narrative to tell about her struggles with addiction; despite the fact that their experiences are unique, I believe that they both have something to teach one another.
I also believe that Rue is a character that does not pass judgment, and I believe that is all that Faye requires. They have had these experiences in common, and despite it, they are both chill girls.
I believe that if they become closer, they would get along because of this shared background.”
