Who Is Amanda Knox?
Amanda Marie Knox is a writer, activist, and journalist based in the US. After being falsely accused of murdering her roommate and fellow exchange student Meredith Kercher in 2007, she was imprisoned in Italy for nearly four years. The Italian Supreme Court of Cassation ruled Knox not guilty in 2015, bringing his case to a close.
When Knox, who was 20 at the time of the murder, returned to their apartment after spending the night with her lover, Raffaele Sollecito, she discovered Kercher's bedroom door shut and blood in the bathroom, she immediately called the police.
Knox allegedly implicated herself and her boss, Patrick Lumumba, in the murder during the ensuing police interrogations, the conduct of which is a point of contention. It was reported that Lumumba, along with Knox and Sollecito, had been detained for Kercher's murder, but Lumumba was later freed.
Where Is Amanda Knox Now?
After almost four years in an Italian prison, Knox moved back to Seattle, where she had grown up. Since he was found not guilty of murder at trial, the 34-year-old has been deeply involved with the Innocence Project, a nonprofit group working to eradicate wrongful convictions. At a criminal justice conference hosted by the Innocence Project in Italy this past June 2019, Knox made her first public appearance since her release.

The novelist Christopher Robinson became Knox's husband in November 2018. The wedding in Washington state featured a space theme. Knox chose a yellow princess dress with white sleeves and kept her hair pulled up for her space wedding. The attendees dressed to the theme of the wedding, which included warriors, captains, and princesses.
