Killing Eve is a British spy thriller television series created for BBC America and BBC iPlayer by Sid Gentle Films in the United Kingdom. Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) is a British intelligence agent charged with apprehending psychopathic killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer). The two acquire a mutual fixation as the hunt develops. Each of the show's seasons is overseen by a different female head writer, based on Luke Jennings' Villanelle novel series.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the chief writer for the first series, Emerald Fennell for the second, Suzanne Heathcote for the third, and Laura Neal for the fourth and final series.
Summary of the Series
Eve Polastri is too fascinated with female assassins, their psychologies, and their techniques of murdering since she is bored with her protective job inside British intelligence organisations. She gets dismissed from MI5 after rashly researching behind-the-scenes in regard to a witness she is managing. To her pleasure, she is recruited by MI6's covert branch, which is on the hunt for Villanelle, a worldwide assassin.
When Eve crosses encounters with Villanelle, she learns that members of both of their hidden groups are more linked than she is comfortable with, but she develops an obsession with Villanelle that is more than enthusiastically returned. Both ladies start to pay less attention to their initial missions in order to discover more about the other.
What About Killing Eve Season 4
The time between the US and UK debuts of a program is usually very long, much to the chagrin of those of us who don't reside in the US. With the last chapter, however, that changed. Season three premiered in the United States on April 12, 2020, and in the United Kingdom on April 13, 2020, on BBC iPlayer. That shift was most likely caused by the epidemic, so it's conceivable that transatlantic parity won't be maintained when the season four launch date is revealed.

Every season has started in April in the United States before arriving in June in the United Kingdom (apart from season three, as mentioned). But don't hold your breath for it this time. Filming only began in June of this year, with Comer and Shaw sighted filming near Margate, Kent, indicating that it will most likely be released in 2022.
Filming for the first season began in Tuscany on July 17, 2017, and continued in Paris, Berlin, Bucharest, Cheshunt, Turville, London and West London Film Studios. The opening scenes of Viennese Cafe were shot in Bar Garibaldi in Colle di Val d'Elsa, Tuscany, a little hilltop village north of Siena. Warwick House Street, right off Trafalgar Square, is where Eve's base is located.
In August 2019, filming for the third series began. In Romania, Viscri and Comandău were used as filming locations. Several sights in Barcelona, Spain, were also utilised, including the Arc de Triomf on Passeig de Llus Companiess and the Port Vell Aerial Tramway. The interior of Vilanelle's Barcelona apartment was shot in the Casa Ramos, a well-known Modernista apartment building on the Plaça de Lesseps designed by architect Jaume Torres I Grau [ca] in 1906. The third season's filming wrapped in London in January 2020.
Cast in Killing Eve Season 4
Sandra Oh was the first to be cast in the role of Eve Polastri in June 2017, and IMG agreed to distribute the film later that month. When she first got the breakdown, Oh was apparently puzzled about which character she'd be portraying, believing she wouldn't be able to audition for the young assassin and not even contemplating the lead. Her reps later notified her that she'd be auditioning for the role of Eve.
Over 100 actresses were considered for the role of Villanelle before Jodie Comer was cast, about a month after Oh. According to Sally Woodward Gentle of Backstage, the production “Villanelle wasn't supposed to be like Nikita or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo—that macho dream version of a lady who'd come for them. We wanted her to be able to blend in with the crowd “. Comer's first audition was acting out the kitchen scene from “I Have a Thing About Bathrooms” with Oh, and the two hit it off right away.
Without Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh as Villanelle and Eve, the program would not be what it is. Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), Villanelle (Jodie Comer), Carolyn (Fiona Shaw), and Konstantin are all expected to return (Kim Bodnia). Jodie Comer, the series' actress, revealed on the red carpet at this year's BAFTA TV Awards that filming will begin the next day.
Comer sported bright blonde hair on the red carpet, and there's already talk that her chameleon-like character, Villanelle, would rock the look in season four, maybe in disguise. Last season, Owen McDonnell reprised his role as Niko Polastri, while Sean Delaney portrayed Kenny – the latter was killed off, so a fourth season return seems improbable (but not impossible! ), and Niko was badly hurt and told Eve to keep away from him, so his presence is also in question.
