What do we know about it, though? Here’s what we’ve got thus far.
The Adam Project is a prospective American science fiction film written by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin and directed by Shawn Levy. What About the Adam Project
Free Guy, a fully original adventure picture from 20th Century Studios that is lighting up the box office in an exclusive theatrical release, has been a bit of a surprise smash this summer. Ryan Reynolds, the star and producer of the film, had been working on it for years and was finally able to get it done when Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) was brought on board to direct it.
While Disney has already requested a Free Guy sequel, fans of this extremely amusing and enjoyable comedy will be pleased to discover that Reynolds and Levy’s next project will be released very soon.
“To me, the time was just a mechanism,” Tropper remarked in an interview with Collider. The film isn’t a hard-core sci-fi time travel thriller. “It’s a film about humans,” says the narrator. “It was more about the people and the tale of this youngster who has lost his father and is trying to come to grips with what that means via a really exciting trip,” he continued. I’ll never write a time-traveling film in the style of Christopher Nolan. That’s not something I’d be interested in. Finding that tale that appeals to the small kid in all of us is more important to me.”

“You’re going to see a trailer this year, without a doubt,” Shawn Levy told Collider, “and you’re going to see the movie on Netflix in the first quarter of next year.” This one has [Ryan and myself] really pumped. What if you could go back in time and befriend your 12-year-old self and your parents, who are the same age as you are now? So it’s Ryan Reynolds meeting his 12-year-old self, Mark Ruffalo, and Jen Garner, who are his mother and father, in the year 2021/22.”
