The auction for the 2022 IPL season will begin at 11 a.m. IST on February 12 in Bangalore. There will be a massive auction for the IPL 2022 auction because it is scheduled to take place during the greatest-ever season of the Indian Premier League.

This year's IPL auction will feature a total of ten teams, each with a budget of INR 90 Crores to build their rosters. On the 12th and 13th of February, Bangalore will play host to a two-day auction including 590 players.

David Warner, Ravichandran Ashwin, and many other world-class players are among those who have set their base price at INR 2 Crores.

The Story So Far: IPL 2022 Auction

A maximum of four players may be retained by each of the eight current IPL clubs, with each team retaining no more than three Indian players and two overseas players.

A maximum of three players from the eight old teams that had been released by the BCCI could be retained by the two new teams, with each of the two new teams being limited to two Indian players and one overseas player.

Hardik Pandya (Rashid Khan), Hardik Pandya (Hardik Pandya), and Shubman Gill (Shubman Gill) are the three retained players for the Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL auction 2022. KL Rahul will head Lucknow Supergiants and Hardik Pandya will lead Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League in 2022.

First time ever, franchises in IPL auction 2022 were denied an RTM card, which would have allowed several teams to re-sign some of their older players. This was another first for the BCCI. In the IPL 2022 auction, there will be no RTMs.
