The season finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan has arrived, and the last episode set the tone for a thrilling conclusion to the prequel's first season. The last episode saw the wannabe drug dealer carry out his first kill job, giving us our first genuine view of how Kanan Stark became the brutal murderer we saw in Power. It wasn't just anyone who was killed; it was Detective Malcolm Howard, Kanan's own father, who was unwittingly slain.

What is There in the Episodes of Raising Kanankanan
Kanan Stark, 15, is eager to join his family's booming drug operation, which is managed by his mother, Raquel Raq Thomas, in South Jamaica, Queens, in 1991. Raq does all it takes to get the target off Kanan's back when a competing crewmember is slain. Kanan, still hurting from a horrific tragedy, tries to break into the drug business with Marvin's aid, while Raq prepares to eliminate her rival. When a police raid clears out Raq's rival, all bets are off; promises are violated, secrets are revealed, and vengeance is quick.
Raq overhauls her operation when the stash house is struck, eager to adapt and re-imagine her business. Meanwhile, Kanan is imprisoned during a brawl with Scrappy, prompting Detective Howard to ask some tough questions. Lou's new artist showcase becomes a focal point for Raq and Unique's feud; Kanan concocts a drug-dealing plot with Marvin.
The side business of Kanan and Marvin goes bad; Raq wants vengeance for the attack on Scrappy; Jukebox suffers a catastrophic blow. After news reaches Raq that he's behind the awful crack on the streets, Kanan faces a terrible reality; Jukebox discovers the disturbing details behind Nicole's death; and Lou finds himself caught in the crossfire.
We saw Kanan shoot and attempt to assassinate Detective Howard against his mother's orders in Season 1. Not only does Kanan have no idea who his biological father is, but he also has no idea that Howard survived the gunshot. The dying detective, who is suffering from leukaemia, must now decide whether or not to go along with Raquel's plot to frame Unique for the crime of shooting him. Alternatively, does he turn in Kanan, his sole viable bone marrow donor and biological son? Decisions, decisions, decisions.
