Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy-drama streaming television series that is a prequel to Robert Mark Kamen‘s original The Karate Kid films. Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg devised the show, which stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively, from the 1984 film The Karate Kid.
The series has a large following on YouTube and Netflix, and critics have given it mostly excellent reviews. The first season premiered on YouTube Red in 2018, followed by a second season in 2019. YouTube chose to discontinue creating scripted original programming after season three was done, leaving the show without a home.

Episode 1
Johnny is still dealing with the effects of Miguel's accident, which resulted in him becoming excessively intoxicated and then being arrested and jailed after getting into a bar brawl. Meanwhile, two weeks after the school brawl, the All-Valley Community is still reeling from the fallout, and the school has implemented an anti-physical contact policy.
Episode 2
In order to find Robby, Daniel and Johnny go to Shannon's treatment clinic and are told to see Robby's former gang mates in jail. The hunt eventually takes the two to a gang of robbers who have taken Robby's van, prompting them to kill them in self-defense.
Episode 3
Johnny asks Bobby for help in paying for Miguel's surgery and pays a visit to Robby in juvenile hall. The Miyagi-Do kids, lead by Sam, organise a car wash to raise money for Miguel's surgery, only for Hawk and a few Cobra Kai students to show up afterward and take the money. Johnny unwillingly approaches Sid to request funds for the surgery, but is turned down, so he steals one of Sid's priceless sculptures.
Episode 4
Because of the school brawl incident, Daniel is rejected by Doyona and decides to travel to Okinawa, Mr. Miyagi's hometown, while Johnny tries to reconcile with Robby, who is doing community service, but their conversation quickly escalates when Johnny accidentally reminds Robby that he was the one who put Miguel in the hospital.
Episode 5
When Cobra attacks Miyagi-Do student Chris at his job in Golf N' Stuff, At the amusement park, Kai, Sam, and the rest of the Miyagi-Do kids attack Hawk's gang, only to be ambushed by Tory, who breaks Demetri's right arm, traumatising Sam, who still fears Tory. Meanwhile, after some sparring sessions, Daniel and Chozen reconcile, with Chozen teaching Daniel the pressure point technique and giving him a martial arts scroll as a parting gift.
Episode 6
Kyler is one of the athletes approached by Kreese to augment the Cobra Kai ranks. After the confrontation, Daniel and Amanda seek to get a restraining order against Kreese, but discover that Kreese has already filed one against Amanda.
Episode 7
Sam has a nightmare in which she and Tory fight at the Miyagi-Do dojo, with Tory drowning Sam in the Miyagi-Do pond as a result of their fight. Miguel can now walk freely again after days of training. After Sam admits her panic episodes to him, Daniel spends the day with her in attempt to help her conquer her fear of Tory, including sharing her the tale of how he overcame his fear with Mr. Miyagi's support when he narrowly defeated Mike Barnes in the 1985 tournament's sudden death match.
Episode 8
In attempt to publicly separate itself from the aftermath of the school violence, the local city council withdraw the permit for the 2019 All-Valley Karate Tournament championship, causing Daniel, Kreese, and Johnny to present their points. When Amanda brings in personal attacks on Kreese, all three of them are dismissed from making their case.
Episode 9
For the holidays, Li comes to Los Angeles and reunites with Johnny. Following Robby's actions against Miguel during the school brawl incident, the Cobra Kai pupils are first sceptical of his presence, but warm up to him after he takes a snake from the nearby zoo as a present for Kreese (except for Hawk). Miguel and Daniel begin to see similarities between Johnny's and Daniel's childhoods.
Episode 10
Cobra Kai students led by Tory break into the LaRusso residence while Ali and Johnny chat with Daniel and Amanda at a Christmas party. Miguel refuses to give up during the brawl. Johnny's words reverberate in his ears, and he overcomes his limitations to knock out Kyler, while Hawk reconciles with Demetri and turns on his fellow Cobra Kai members, and Sam eventually overcomes her fear to defeat Tory before Cobra Kai flees.
