What The Show is All About?
World of Wonder, the show's production company, receives video auditions from Drag Race contestants. RuPaul, the host and head judge, watches each tape and chooses the competitors for the season. Once the selected pool of performers arrives on set, they film a series of episodes, each of which typically ends with the elimination of one contestant from the competition.
Rarely has an episode resulted in a double elimination, no elimination, contestant disqualification, or the removal of a contestant on medical grounds. Each episode includes a so-called maxi challenge, which puts competitors' skills to the test in a variety of drag performance areas. Some episodes also include a mini challenge, with the prize being an advantage or benefit in the upcoming maxi challenge.
Contestants display themed ensembles in a runway walk following the maxi challenge. The week's winner and bottom two competitors are then announced after RuPaul and a panel of judges assess each contestant's performance, deliberate between themselves, then proclaim the week's winner and bottom two contestants. The bottom two queens compete in a “Lip Sync for Your Life” competition; the winner advances to the next round, while the loser is eliminated.
The contestant who the judges believe has shown the most “charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent” (C.U.N.T.) usually progresses. The final three, or four, competitors participate in a special finale episode in which the season's champion is crowned, depending on RuPaul's choice. The finale was pre-recorded in the studio with no audience in the early seasons. The finale has recently taken the shape of a lip sync competition in front of a live audience.

Episode 1
After entering the workroom in groups of two and one group of three, the thirteen new queens compete in Lip Sync For Your Life fights. The losers get “the Pork Chop,” while the winners get to stay. When RuPaul tells the seven losing queens that they have a chance to return to the competition, they gather in the “Porkchop Loading Dock.” To do so, they must perform “The Chop” on one of their other queens.
Episode 2
Episode 6
For the mini challenge, the queens dress up as babies and go into drag. The winner is LaLa Ri, and RuPaul explains that the major competition for this week is the Bag Ball, in which the queens must compete in three categories: mixed bag, money bags, and making a look out of bags for Bag Ball Eleganza.
Episode 7
The queens form teams to construct a dress out of wallpaper in this episode's minor challenge. The mini challenge's victors are Elliott with 2 Ts and Tamisha Iman, according to RuPaul. For this week's primary challenge, the teams remain the same. In five separate chapters, the teams must participate in a choreographed disco-themed dance documentary. Gottmik, Kandy Muse, and Tina Burner (The Birth of Disco), Elliott with 2 Ts and Tamisha Iman (Disco and Sex), Olivia Lux and Utica Queen (Studio 54), Denali and Rosé (Disco Fashion), and LaLa Ri and Symone (Disco Fashion) are the members of the teams (Disco Sucks).
