The Plath family on Welcome to Plathville has strong opinions about certain topics. Like, for example, the public education system and sugar. Divorce may also be out of the question in terms of romantic partnerships.
When the marriage of Ethan and Olivia Plath struck some hiccups, it had some fans wondering how things were going between the couple. Similar to the Duggars of the popular reality show 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, the Plaths are a large, religiously devout family that follow their own set of laws and customs.
Ethan was an early innovator, and although he may not like the label “rebel,” that is what he looks to be in the bigger picture. Maybe divorce isn't a total no-no for him specifically. Let's take a look at “Is Clayton and Susie Still Together?”.
Are Ethan and Olivia Still Together?
Olivia & Ethan's marriage has been strained by his relatives. As Season 1 of Welcome to Plathville progressed, Ethan's parents became increasingly concerned about the impact Ethan & Olivia could have on their other children if they were to spend unsupervised time with them.
As a result, Olivia's relationship with Ethan's mother, Kim Plath, deteriorated further. Ethan & Olivia severed ties with Kim and Barry in the season two finale. The couple decided to put their energy into their relationship instead of trying to alter Kim and Barry's ways.
At the end of Season 2, everything appeared to be turning around, but as Season 3 progressed, things took a turn for the worst. Olivia wants to leave the rural area and move to Tallahassee, Florida, but Ethan is not certain that this is the best choice.
While Ethan seemed content in Georgia, Olivia spent the first few episodes of the season preparing to move and looking at rental properties in Florida. Their public arguments generally revolved around whether they should leave Cairo, Georgia, but as the season progressed, it became evident that there were underlying issues that needed to be addressed for the couple to go ahead in their marriage.
Olivia decided to stay with a friend when the pair announced their decision to separate at the end of Season 3, Episode 6. Separating with Ethan was “the hardest decision I've ever had to make,” Olivia added. “I didn't want to stifle Ethan's ability to make his own choices and decisions, and I worry that he sometimes does what I say merely to avoid making me mad, even though it's not good for him.”
Olivia moved out of the home she shared with Ethan, although she didn't go very far. Because she was still invested in saving her relationship with Ethan, she opted for a nearby hotel. Ethan and Olivia had reconciled by the end of Season 3 and were planning their move to Tampa, Florida.
From what we've seen so far in Welcome to Plathville Season 4, Ethan & Olivia are making strides in their marriage & communication. But things became complicated when Ethan admitted he had bought another car during their breakup & had deliberately hidden it from his wife for eight months.

Olivia was devastated by Ethan's lie of omission and wondered if this was just another instance of him using his passion for cars as an excuse to avoid their relationship.
Are They Together Again?
Olivia's Instagram photos give the impression that she is still actively involved in Ethan's life. In June 2022, Olivia posted a carousel of photos via Instagram, writing, “Getting to know our new neighborhood and feeling lucky to call Paris home for the next month.
Where would you travel if you had the opportunity to spend a few months in a different place, and why?” Photos of her and Ethan showed the two of them smiling and laughing as they traveled around Paris.

In 2021, she included Ethan in fewer posts than in previous years, but he was still there occasionally. In May of 2021, she posted a photo to social media wishing him a happy birthday & writing, “We've been through a lot together, good times and bad, and we're ready for whatever the future brings.

There may be aspects of Ethan and Olivia's relationship that we don't know about, but it seems clear that they both want to strengthen their marriage. We hope that they are able to come to an agreement that works for everyone involved.
