Wednesday, Netflix's take on the oldest daughter of pop culture's kookiest family, is almost here. Tim Burton, who often creates spooky but entertaining takes on well-known characters, is at the helm of this project. Wednesday Addams is the focus of this fresh take on The Addams Family, and she is in the thick of a murder mystery investigation after being sent away to the shadowy Nevermore Academy.
Now let's get down to the nitty-gritty! Jenna Ortega (You) will play the lead role in the upcoming horror comedy. The casting of a Latina actor as Wednesday is a first and true to the comics. Wednesday Addams' time as a student at Nevermore Academy is billed as the setting for “a detective, supernaturally laced mystery.”
Listed below are the remaining pieces of information regarding the series.
What is the Release Date for the Show?
Even though our first thoughts led us to believe that Wednesday would debut around Halloween, the show would actually start airing later than we had anticipated. Netflix will launch the first episode of the series on November 23.

What is Wednesday All About?
Netflix claims Wednesday will have the same spirit as previous Addams Family adaptations while taking the characters and story in a new, exciting way.
Netflix described the narrative of Wednesday as “a detective, supernaturally laced mystery spanning Wednesday's years as a student at the unusual Nevermore Academy.”
Wednesday Addams “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, foil a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and unravel the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago—all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships of the strange and diverse student body.”
The new series will present a mystical mystery story with a mix of drama and dark comedy. With Wednesday as the protagonist, we can expect a fresh perspective on the coming-of-age story even as she faces the challenges of Nevermore Academy and the mystery from over two decades ago.
