Netflix winning the bidding war for the show meant securing worldwide distribution rights. Al Gough and Miles Millar are the show's creators. Wednesday will be produced by MGM TV, with Burton serving as executive producer and director in addition to his other responsibilities.
The Original producers include Jon Glickman, Andrew Mittman, and Gail Berman. On Wednesday, Tim Burton will make his directorial TV debut with the premiere of his new show, “Wednesday.”
What Exactly Is the Storyline of Wednesday?
Netflix has disclosed the official loglines for the series, which are as follows:
“Wednesday Addams's exploits during her time as a boarder at the one-of-a-kind Nevermore Academy, located in the heart of rural New England. Wednesday's efforts to master her developing psychic gift, stop a monstrous killing spree that has scared the surrounding village, and unravel the mystical mystery that entangled her parents 25 years ago, all while navigating her new and highly complicated connections at Nevermore.”
There has also been published a much more detailed synopsis for Wednesday, which is as follows:
“Willa, also known as Wednesday Adams, is starting a new chapter of her life at the academy, a two-hundred-year-old boarding school. Her parents went to this school while they were students there. Willa has been expelled from eight schools in the past five years. On the other hand, Willa has absolutely no interest in returning to their alma university and is already making plans to flee. On the other hand, she has never been to a school like this before. It's a school for misfits with four primary groups: the Fangs (vampires), the Furs (werewolves), the Scales (sirens), and the Stoners. Each group has its own unique identity. It is also a piece of the puzzle that bears some dreadful secrets about her family's history.”
