Jo Wenberg is prepared to try her hand at love once more on the small screen. Move over, rose ceremonies and reality TV drama!
Even after a turbulent and well-publicized separation that had Bravo fans in a frenzy, the ex-girlfriend of Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz is openly hoping for a chance to find her next boyfriend on The Bachelorette.
Jo Pleaded Bachelorette To Put Her in
On August 7, Jo, 35, made a daring announcement on Instagram Story while enjoying the beach. She didn't stop there after posting a video of herself in the sun with the sardonic message, “Sign me up to find a man!”
Jo made it obvious that she was aiming for the top reality TV romance job when she tagged The Bachelorette's official account and captioned her video with the humorous phrase “Make me the next Bachelorette.”
Jo became well-known due to her brief romantic relationship with Tom on Vanderpump Rules. Tom, 41, rose to fame on the popular Bravo program, which debuted in 2013 and ran for one season.
Jo had an emotional rollercoaster at her on-screen premiere alongside Tom, who had recently split from his ex-wife Katie Maloney.
Even though Tom seemed to be looking for a short-term relationship, Jo was focused on the long term. The breakup of the relationship was as dramatic as one might think, and Schwartz faced a great deal of criticism for what many saw as leading Jo on.
Jo and Tom Schwartz Recently Broke Up
In an open interview on Watch What Happens Live in February, Tom acknowledged sending conflicting messages to his partner.
Perhaps there were a few conflicting messages there. There for a while, it was like lightning in a bottle, he said. Given my emotional state, I'm not sure if that was sustainable. I'm not sure if I was ready for a traditional relationship.
The reality star acknowledged a particularly difficult time in his life by jokingly adding that he “should have been committed” instead of dating.
Ever the realist, Jo laid the blame at their mutual lack of trust. “The one thing that wasn't there probably was trust,” she stated in an April audio interview with Rachel Goes Rogue. And that's okay because I have no right to dictate to him who he should or shouldn't be with. Moving forward and improving myself are what I must do.
Jo said, “I look back and I feel very grateful that I had somebody in my life that made me so happy.” As she considered their time together. We were unable to stop laughing.
Even if Schwartz and Sophia Skoro have publicly moved on, Jo's emotions remain conflicted. In an April Instagram Live, she said, “She seems great and she's so sweet.” I do believe he is my other half, yes. However, I believe it will require some time. When the timing is right… I'm not sure, but maybe [we may get back together] in the future.
Jo's adventure didn't stop there, though. She said in a Cameo video that Schwartz was still attempting to get in touch with her just one month later.
Schwartz, meantime, has made it plain that he is prepared to move on from the past and concentrate on his new partnership. Regarding Jo, it appears that she's prepared for her next big reality TV moment, demonstrating once more her willingness to take on challenges related to drama and love.
