Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 7 Recap & Review: Let's be honest, “Tulsa King” doesn't have a story that hasn't been told before. However, Sylvester Stallone's portrayal of Dwight Manfredi is so flawless that it saves the show & makes it worthwhile. Prior episodes of “Tulsa King” showed that Dwight had murdered Nico after finding out about what Nico had done to his daughter.
Emory, Tina's husband, had been attacked by Chickie, which was the worst thing Tina could have imagined happening. She became extremely paranoid when she received repeated blank calls from an unknown number. She had a good idea of what these people were capable of doing & it made her fearful for the safety of her family members.
Chickie's father, Pete Invernizzi, forbids him to get even with Dwight. Pete was aware that what Nico had done to Dwight's daughter was completely unjustified. Chickie's ego was hurt when his own father publicly humiliated him, but he swallowed the sour pill in the hopes that justice would be done someday.
Dwight had refused to make any form of deal with Caolan Waltrip back in Tulsa, telling him straight out that he would do whatever he pleased. Even Dwight, an ex-capo himself, wasn't frightened or intimidated by the leader of the Macadam gang, Waltrip.
Dwight & Mitch killed Carson Pike near the end of the sixth episode of “Tulsa King,” & they knew Waltrip would respond severely from that point on. So, let’s witness the events that took place in the 7th episode of “Tulsa King”.
Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 7 Recap
Dwight & Mitch remove Carson's Macadams jacket & bury his body. While Dwight talks to Mitch about delivering it back to Caolan, Tina calls to tell him that her husband, Emory, has been attacked.
When Roxy enters the bar with a box Caolan had left outside, he is unable to contact Carson. Their probe into Carson's death is confirmed when they discover blood & bullet holes in his jacket.
After the FBI raid, Bodhi returns to his dispensary & finds its devastation. To investigate, he pulls out a secret USB drive & inserts it into his laptop. Calling Stacy, Roxy reveals that she believes Dwight murdered Carson.
When Goodie enters the bar, Dwight immediately asks him if Chickie or Vince had anything to do with the attack on Emory, but Goodie denies any involvement. Later, Stacy & Roxy have a meeting in which Stacy begs Roxy to try to collect some proof that will help her fulfill her obligations to the ATF.
A concerned Goodie calls Pete & Chickie in New York to fill them in on Dwight's whereabouts in Tulsa. He informs them that Dwight's enterprises are doing well & that Tyson now owns the ring that Pete gave to Dwight.

Stacy, under the influence of alcohol, visits Dwight at his apartment & confronts him with the question of whether or not he murdered Carson Pike. She's also fuming after realizing that Dwight is responsible for so much misery in her life.
Once again, Tina receives a frightening phone call from an individual with heavy breathing. In order to steal Caolan's laptop, Roxy secretly enters his office, but he walks in just as she's about to start searching for anything on it.
He engages her in pleasant conversation before smothering her to death. Caolan answers the phone & informs Stacy that she has made touch with the afterlife. Stacy waits for her at the diner the following morning.
Margaret approaches Dwight when he is at the ranch checking on Pilot & asks if she may buy him dinner. When Bodhi inquires as to Dwight's familiarity with NFTs & cryptocurrency, Dwight emphatically states that he doesn't.
Bodhi claims he robs cryptocurrency traders, displaying a screenshot from his laptop showing millions of dollars in stolen funds. Chickie is there to pay his respects when the priest approaches him. He confides in the priest about the hardships he's faced as Pete's kid & the deep resentment he feels toward his father.
Emory claims he & Tina are content where they are in New York when she suggests a move to Tulsa. In spite of her concerns, she concedes that her husband is probably right.
Over a delicious meal, Dwight & Margaret get to know each other better. Chickie tells Vince during his father's burial that they need to get their family back on track. Goodie is at the bar, ready to tell Dwight the sad news that Pete has died.
Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 7 Review
Dwight & his crew should take the leadership shakeup as a serious red flag. During the course of just a few minutes, Chickie's true character was exposed. The years of pent-up rage exploded in an act of shocking boldness & violence. He seems much more dangerous in his bald avatar, similar to Wilson Fisk from Daredevil.
Chickie shed his skin after Pete's death & the symbolic loss of his hairpiece signified the change. He'll be the one responsible for Emery's assault & his anger toward Dwight will only grow until he finally gets rid of Dwight. Chickie delayed solidifying his power inside the family for too long.
Bodhi’s reveal that he’s a criminal as well is a big high point of the episode & makes Martin Starr’s character all the more interesting. The episode also establishes Caolan as a dangerous individual by showing him playing cruel games with Roxy before killing her & then threatening Stacy without fear over the phone.
On the other end, the anxiety over it is brilliantly captured by Andrea Savage. Despite a few promising moments, the episode ultimately feels like filler in comparison to the preceding ones. Dwight, no matter how courageous & strong he may be, cannot wage battle on two fronts at once.
