Tim Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, and artist. Films like Beetlejuice (1988), Ed Wood (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Corpse Bride (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and Frankenweenie (2008) have made him a household name in the gothic fantasy and horror genres (2012).
As a director, he has also worked on superhero films such as Batman and Batman Returns, a sci-fi picture called Planet of Apes, a musical adventure film called Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, a fantasy film called Alice in Wonderland, and a horror film called The Omen (2016).
