Things You Didn’t Know About Freaky Movie

The high-concept comedy horror Freaky, a picture that most of us won't get to watch with the vast, vocally responding audience it so requires, a gleeful crowd-pleaser that will only get to delight the tiniest of audiences, has a stinging feeling of cruelty to it. Its entertainment value is bittersweet, as exciting to see as it is depressing to contemplate, another mournful reminder that community pleasures like going to the movies are difficult, if not impossible, to come by in many locations right now.

What's there in the Movie?

Four teens debate urban legends about the Blissfield Butcher, a serial murderer. The Butcher enters the home where they are staying and murders the teens before fleeing with an antique knife known as La Dola.
The next day, Millie Kessler, a harassed high school student, attends the Blissfield Valley High School homecoming football game as the school mascot. The Butcher confronts Millie as she waits for a ride home near the now-empty school.
He uses La Dola to stab Millie in the shoulder, causing an identical wound to emerge on his shoulder. Millie's elder sister Char, a cop, arrives and scares the Butcher away. La Dola is taken into custody as evidence, and the police begin a quest for the Butcher.
The Butcher and Millie wake up the next morning to find that they have exchanged bodies, and they both head to Blissfield Valley High School. Millie's primary tormentor Ryler is killed by the Butcher, who is now Millie, by trapping her in a cryotherapy tank in the girl's locker room. He understands that his innocent look gives him protection from suspicion and uses a table saw to mortally slash another of Millie's tormentors, woodshop teacher Mr. Bernardi.
Millie, now in the Butcher's body, tracks out her closest friends Nyla and Josh and uses the school mascot's dance routine and a series of personal questions to establish her identity. Millie must stab the Butcher with the dagger before midnight or the body switch will be irreversible, according to Nyla and Josh's study.
Christopher Landon will write and direct a new horror film, with Jason Blum acting as a producer under his Blumhouse Productions label, it was revealed in early August 2019. The narrative was billed as following an aggressive person spreading havoc in a tiny village, but no further plot elements were disclosed.

Interesting Things To Know About Freaky

Production was set to begin in Atlanta, Georgia, in October, and there was talk that the picture might be a reboot of Scream. Those allegations were eventually disproved by Landon, who stated that the project would be an original narrative based on Mary Rodgers' Freaky Friday. After Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U, Landon returns with another high-concept comedic horror flick, Freaky.
The fact that Lindsay Lohan‘s character Anna was meant to be a true goth kicks off the list. Lindsay, according to a 2006 interview with Vanity Fair, was the one who persuaded the producers that Anna could be a little more accessible. Here's what Lindsay had to say about it: “When she was truly Goth, no one could identify to the persona.” There was no such thing. Lindsay dressed up as a preppy for the audition, and her strategy worked: the role was revised.
Let's move on to the fact that Anna was initially played by actress Michelle Trachtenberg. Michelle, however, was unable to shoot due to contractual obligations with the iconic vampire drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and had to pass down the part. After that, Lindsay was cast in the role, and we can't picture anybody else playing Anna!
Kelly Osbourne is another well-known woman who was almost cast in the film. Kelly was cast as Anna's closest friend and band front-woman, but she had to withdraw out due to her mother Sharon Osbourne's cancer diagnosis at the time.
While Lindsay Lohan was already a household celebrity at the time of the film's release, the 17-year-old had never had an on-screen kiss with a co-star. Lindsay Lohan stated in a behind-the-scenes video that the kiss she and her co-star Chad Michael Murray enjoyed at the close of the film was a first for her!
Jamie Lee Curtis and her daughter Annie Guest make a brief appearance in the film, which is about mother-daughter relationships. However, Annie was not present on set; instead, a photo of Jamie Lee Curtis and her daughter was used in the film. As many of you may recall, Freaky Friday's opening credits include a number of photographs of moms and daughters, one of which is of Jamie and Annie.
Freaky made $9 million in the United States and Canada and $7.2 million in other regions, totaling $16.2 million globally. On its debut day, the picture grossed $1.45 million from 2,472 screens, including $200,000 from Thursday night previews. It went on to gross $3.7 million in its first weekend, making it the highest-grossing film of the year.
The picture earned $1.8 million in its second weekend, keeping it in top position. It earned $799,770 in its third weekend (including $966,470 over the four-day Thanksgiving holiday in the United States) before being dethroned by newcomer The Croods: A New Age the following weekend.
