What Happens When Things Are Heard and Seen Come to an End?

Floyd's death is ruled an accident, and George is given Floyd's job as head of the department at the college. At first, it seems like George might get away with murder. In the meantime, George comes up with a plan to kill his wife: he puts a sleep aid in Catherine's protein drink.

Catherine is out of her mind when George kills her with an axe. She tries to get away with her daughter, but the drug hits her and knocks her out. George tells the babysitter that his wife is sick and not to bother her.

He gives himself an alibi by going to work and then tells the police that someone has been killed. Here is the scene that starts the movie: George sees blood dripping from the ceiling and runs across the grounds with his daughter.

Things Heard and Seen

Catherine seems to have joined the group of vengeful wives whose husbands were killed in that creepy house. The police think George did it, but they don't have any proof until Justine wakes up from her coma. How does she get out of bed? With a bit of help from Ella and Catherine's spirits.

George knows he's in trouble, so he runs away on a sailboat. As he sails through a storm, it looks like hellfire is burning up the sky, and Ella and Catherine talk about the gates of hell.

The sky turns into an upside-down cross, George's boat catches fire, and he sails into the gates of hell, imitating the painting “The Valley of the Shadow of Death” by George Inness.

In the movie's last shot, all of the dead wives say together, “Because of you, we are one spirit.” We get stronger because of you. From a few drops to an ocean that never ends.”

The camera zooms in on a picture of the house's first owners, and we see that the first wife is also wearing the ring. This means that the call has been passed down through the wives of the house. Phew! Did you understand it all?
