Film ‘The Menu' is the brainchild of screenwriters Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. The film is billed as a blend of humor, horror, and thriller elements set in an exclusive high-class dining event. The following is Searchlight Pictures' official synopsis.

Going to a mysterious island in the middle of nowhere owned by an eccentric maniac is usually a horrible idea that will result in your audience yelling at the main characters on screen and warning them not to do such things, as any horror movie fan knows.

That didn't stop Tyler and his girlfriend Margot from visiting one of these islands. Why is this so? It's the residence of a world-renowned executive chef named Chef Slowik, of whom Tyler is a huge fan. Tyler is a self-proclaimed foodie who couldn't possibly pass down an invitation from a celebrity chef, even if Margot isn't sure why this is such a big deal.

Margot and Tyler aren't the only ones invited to this private lunch; some of the world's wealthiest and most powerful people have been invited to attend the restaurant and partake in Slowik's latest creation.

Upon arrival, several visitors notice that something fishy is going on here, and it's not the smell of some ill-conceived sushi. No, Slowik appears to be planning something more terrible, and it's only a matter of time before his plans come to reality.

The Menu has a star-studded cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nicholas Hoult.

Ralph Fiennes is a seasoned Hollywood actor who has appeared in films such as Schindler's List, The English Patient, The Constant Gardener, the Harry Potter trilogy, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. He also has another film coming out in 2022, The Forgiven. In The Menu, Fiennes plays chef Slowik.
