The Marvels: Is the Marvel Universe Coming to an End?

Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau will form the Marvels, which will include them all. Here is everything we currently know about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Marvel Studios has something different in mind for Captain Marvel than most Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes who have gotten direct sequels to their films. Carol Danvers’ next film will not be a solo effort but rather a collaboration with Marvel’s Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau.

The Marvels will be an intergenerational saga filled with female heroism that will serve as a continuation of many MCU storylines.

There isn’t much information about the film aside from the cast and crew working on it, but that isn’t stopping MCU fans from being quite excited about it. Following the start of production, there has been a great deal of conjecture about the actors and the direction of the universe. We now know the following about Marvel Studios’ next feature, The Marvels: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

What Exactly Are The Marvels?

Capt. Marvel’s solo exploits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are brought to an end in “The Marvels,” which means she is no longer truly alone in her endeavors.

In addition to Carol Danvers, “The Marvels” will also feature Monica Rambeau, who in the comics was the second Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and other Marvel characters. The film’s title is a nod to all three of these ladies, which is why it isn’t simply titled “Captain Marvel 2,” as some have speculated.

The origins of Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel in Marvel Comics are a little murky at this point. Captain Marvel began life as an extraterrestrial named Mar-Vell, while Ms. Marvel began life as Carol Danvers, both of whom are now Captain Marvel.

This makes her not only the first Ms. Marvel in comics but also the first Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The fact that DC Comics has its own Captain Marvel, commonly separated from his Marvel Comics version by his catchphrase, “Shazam!” adds to the confusion.

Who Is a Member of Marvel’s Cast?

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, will again be played by Brie Larson as the series’ central character. Iman Vellani, who will be continuing her role as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel from the Disney+ series, and Teyonah Parris, who will be resuming her role as Monica Rambeau, who initially appeared on WandaVision, will be joining the cast. Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, will also make a cameo appearance in The Marvels.

Others who have been confirmed to appear in Kamala Khan’s TV series include Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur, who will play the actress’ brother, mother, and father, respectively. Additionally, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-Joon have been confirmed for unnamed parts, while Ashton’s role is rumored to be a nasty role. It is still unclear who this villain is or who any of the other villains in the film are.
