Last Voyage of the Demeter, a forthcoming horror movie from Universal Pictures, has recently been released. The Last Voyage of the Demeter will now have an official release date of August 11, 2023, rather than its original January 27, 2023.

The movie will have a wide theatrical release, and it appears that theaters will be the only place to see it. Corey Hawkins (The Tragedy of Macbeth), David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad), Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale), and Javier Botet are among the actors who appear in The Last Voyage of the Demeter (It).

Botet is known for playing monsters like Slender Man and the Crooked Man from The Conjuring 2. He will also be playing Dracula in The Last Voyage of the Demeter so that fans can anticipate an incredibly spooky performance from him.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter Cast

“The Last Voyage of the Demeter” stars “Straight Outta Compton” and “Kong: Skull Island” actor Corey Hawkins alongside a cast that also includes actors from “Black Narcissus,” “Dune,” “Game of Thrones,” “Blood Ransom,” Stefan Kapii from the “Deadpool” films, “Power Rangers Jungle Fury,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “Straight Outta Compton (“The Young Offenders”). However, the fact that Javier Botet is portraying Dracula may excite monster horror movie fans the most.

For those who don't know, along with his fellow-creature expert Doug Jones, Botet is one of the contemporary “Men of a Thousand Faces” actors in the style of Lon Chaney. The eerie Tristana Medeiros from the “REC” films, the main ghost from Andy Muschietti's “Mama,” many spirits from “Crimson Peak,” and KeyFace from “Insidious: The Last Key” are some of Botet's most notable performances.

The chances are that Botet or Jones portrayed any tall, skinny, non-CGI monsters or otherworldly beings in a horror movie you saw in the last two decades.

‘The Captain's Log'

As Clemens, a doctor who has joined the crew, Corey Hawkins (“In the Heights,” “Straight Outta Compton”) is a member of the cast.

Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, “Clash of the Titans”) plays the captain of The Demeter, and David Dastmalchian (Dune, “The Suicide Squad”) plays the first mate. Aisling Franciosi (“Game of Thrones,” “The Nightingale”) plays a stowaway (poor choice of boats, friend). The remaining cast members are Javier Botet, Nikolai Nikolaeff, Stefan Kapicic, and Jon Jon Briones.

For Phoenix Pictures, “The Last Voyage of the Demeter” is produced by Brad Fischer, Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, and Mike Medavoy, nominated for an Academy Award.

Executive producer Matthew Hirsch is behind it. Since it has been in development for 20 years, filmmakers like David Slade, Marcus Nispel, Neil Marshall, Stefan Ruzowitzky, and Robert Schwentke have tried and failed to get it out of port. It will be good to see this on the big screen finally.
