The Killer Trailer: Nathalie Emmanuel emerges as a deadly assassin in John Woo’s classic action movie remake.

Peacock has premiered the trailer for John Woo's 1989 Hong Kong action classic ‘The Killer,' now getting a new version.

Woo himself is directing this remake, considered one of his best films. The original starred Chow Yun-fat as a Hong Kong hitman who accidentally blinds a young nightclub singer during a shootout on his final assignment.

She needs a corneal transplant to save her remaining sight, so he agrees to kill a high-ranking triad boss to fund the operation, even as a police detective closes in on him.

The remake, penned by Oscar winner Brian Helgeland (“L.A. Confidential,” “Mystic River”), moves the story to Paris. Nathalie Emmanuel, known for ‘Game of Thrones' and ‘Fast and Furious,' plays Zee, nicknamed the Queen of the Dead.

After refusing to kill a blinded young woman named Jenn (Diana Silvers) as ordered by her handler (Sam Worthington), Zee loses her alliances and catches the attention of sharp police investigator Sy (Omar Sy).

They get entangled in a criminal conspiracy that forces Zee to confront her own past. Eric Cantona, Tchéky Karyo, and Grégory Montel also star.
