A Bit About The Crown
The Crown is a Netflix historical drama series about Queen Elizabeth II's reign that was developed and primarily written by Peter Morgan.
It was created by Morgan using his stage play The Audience and his drama film The Queen, in particular. It was made by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television.
The Crown has risen to #4 on the Netflix Top 10 lists and has seen an 800% increase in viewers in the past week due to Queen Elizabeth's passing.
The Crown has four seasons, and viewers probably wonder when it will conclude.
Well, it's returning relatively soon for its fifth season, and after the Queen's passing, production on its sixth and final season was briefly put on hold.
Though we do not yet have a specific date, The Crown season 5 will be released in November 2022, which is only two months away.
Season 5 looks to be about the contentious period of Diana's breakup with Charles and her tragic death, events covered in the Oscar-winning The Queen, with Helen Mirren playing Elizabeth.
These final two seasons will again recast almost all major roles with new actors as the show moves through the different eras of the Queen's life.
