Tejasswi Prakash, a TV celebrity, defeated actor-model Pratik Sehajpal to win the reality show “Bigg Boss” season 15 on Saturday.
Ms Prakash, who is most known for her role in “Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur,” won the Bigg Boss trophy and a monetary award of Rs 40 lakh.
The show's presenter, the celebrity Salman Khan, was declared the winner.
Mr Sehajpal came in second, while Ms Prakash's star boyfriend Karan Kundra came in third.
Actress Shamita Shetty placed fourth, while choreographer Nishant Bhat pulled out of the final race and placed fifth, earning a prize of ten lakh rupees.
Tejasswi Prakash began the event as a title favourite because of her fame as a television personality.
The 28-year-old actress was renowned for her competitive and tenacious nature. Ms Prakash fell in love with Mr Kundra throughout the programme, and the duo became a fan favourite.

Mr Sehajpal, who was a finalist on last year's “Bigg Boss OTT,” was also a fan favourite throughout the show.
Deepika Padukone, along with co-stars Ananya Pandey, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa, promoted her next film “Gehraiyaan” at the grand finale.
Former Bigg Boss winners Gauahar Khan, Urvashi Dholakia, Gautam Gulati, Rubina Dilaik, and Shweta Tiwari were among those who attended the finale.
Shehnaaz Gill, a finalist on “Bigg Boss” 13, paid tribute to her late boyfriend Sidharth Shukla, the season's winner, among the highlights of the finale. Last year, Sidharth Shukla passed away.
Ms Gill and Mr Khan were moved and shared an embrace in memory of Sidharth Shukla. Khan requested Kleenex from the “Bigg Boss” team at one point because he and Ms Gill couldn't hold back their emotions.
Mr Khan, who has always admired Ms Gill, said she and Sidharth Shukla's mother had been through a terrible period.
“I'm still speaking with Sidharth's mother. It's time to get back to work. You have a great and lovely future ahead of you. Be joyful and do a lot of excellent work “He informed Ms Gill.
