Teen Wolf: the Movie Gets a 2023 Release Date and a Look at Allison’s Return!


When it was announced in September 2021 that MTV's Teen Wolf series would, in fact, have a feature film revival, fans were overjoyed at the prospect of seeing some of their favorite characters (including a few that had killed in the series) back together again in one place.

Despite the show's cancellation in 2017, Paramount+ has signed a multi-year deal with Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis to develop a sequel.

Everything that has been learned about the next film can be summed up in one piece, which includes everything from behind-the-scenes photos posted on social media to exciting information presented at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.

Wolves are howling again, signaling the return of all night-shifting beings like banshees, coyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and whatever else you can think of.

Only an adult werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), who is still the pack's undisputed leader despite his advanced years, can rally enough support to take on what may be their most formidable and lethal foe yet.

Who Else is on the Cast of Teen Wolf: the Movie?

Crystal Reed (Allison Argent), Holland Roden (Lydia Martin), Shelley Hennig (Malia Tate), Orny Adams (Coach Bobby Finstock), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Noah Stilinski), and JR Bourne (the latter two roles were confirmed in February 2022). (Chris Argent).

Ryan Kelley (Deputy Jordan Parrish), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Seth Gilliam (Dr. Alan Deaton), and Dylan Sprayberry (Jackson Whittemore) are also scheduled to return (Liam Dunbar).

Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura) and O'Brien (Stiles Stilinski) have both left the project.

Ian Bohen and Khylin Rhambo were cast as Peter and Mason in March of 2022. Amy Lin Workman, Nobi Nakanishi, and Vince Mattis have joined the cast.

Teen Wolf The Movie: Is a trailer available?

Teen Wolf viewers got their first look at new footage from the film at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on August 28. The 30-second preview shows our heroes against an evil army equipped with samurai swords. Also, Crystal Reed's character Allison Argent, who was presumed dead after Season 3, is shown to be alive and well.

As of July 21, we had already seen the entire trailer, so this cut-down version was a welcome change. Here's the chilling, official trailer for it.

Where Can I Watch The Movie, Teen Wolf?

In September 2021, the film's distributor, paramount+, signed off on the deal, ensuring distribution on the same platform. The premiere date for Teen Wolf on the paramount+ service is penciled in for the month of October 2022.
