The Mandalorian's triumph and the fan-embraced final season of The Clone Wars have provided the future of Star Wars television with more Empire-thwarting promise than ever before.
Andor, which focuses on Diego Luna's Cassian Andor and takes place about five years before the events of the well-received Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is one of the most anticipated Star Wars TV shows coming to Disney+.
That film's popularity as a Star Wars spinoff picture, as well as its appearance on Disney+, have helped kept fans excited while waiting for additional information. The new Star Wars spin-off series has landed on fans' streaming devices as of Wednesday, September 21, 2022, with Rogue One writer/director Tony Gilroy serving as showrunner.

Genevieve O'Reilly (Mon Mothma)
Mon Mothma's Star Wars legacy spans decades, spanning three films and two television episodes. While Caroline Blakiston played the character in Return of the Jedi, Genevieve O'Reilly wore the robes in Revenge of the Sith and made a surprise appearance in Rogue One, as well as voicing the character in Star Wars Rebels.
(In The Clone Wars, Kath Soucie gave her voice to Mon Mothma.) O'Reilly's filmography includes appearances in The Snowman and Tolkien, as well as regular roles in the Australian drama Glitch and the UK/Amazon Prime Video co-distributed drama Tin Star, which stars Tim Roth.
Stellan Skarsgård (Luthen)
Stellan Skarsgard, the father of a Swedish acting dynasty, has long been a reliable complement to any production, whether it art house drama or genre-centric blockbuster.
It's surely a blessing to have him enter the Star Wars universe as Luthen. Who is seen in the series' teaser speaking to Cassian about a box he stole from the Empire.
His most recent TV appearance was in HBO's Chernobyl miniseries, for which he received a Supporting Actor Emmy nomination, and his most recent appearance in a high-concept sci-fi production was as Baron Vladmir Harkonnen in Denis Villeneuve's Dune.

Skarsgrd also has a good relationship with Disney, having played astronomer Erik Selvig in five separate Marvel films, the most recent of which was Thor: Love and Thunder.
Denise Gough (Dedra Meero)
Denise Gough, who is more well-known in the UK than in the US, will be bringing her theatrical flair to Disney+ through Andor as Imperial officer Dedra Meero, whom the actor said The Direct was inspired by Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito's Breaking Bad portrayal, Gus Fring.
Gough, who co-starred in 2019's A Kid Who Would Be King with Genevieve O'Reilly, is best known for her work on the Showtime miniseries Guerrilla and the BBC miniseries Paula.
Kyle Soller (Syril)
Kyle Soller of the United Kingdom earned the role of Syril, a fellow Darksider who, as he stated during CinemaBlend's interview with the Andor cast, might have easily joined the Resistance had his situation been different.
Though he doesn't have many credits in the United States, Soller is well-known for his roles as the titular character's son on PBS' Poldark and in the HBO TV film Brexit. However, he has ties to Disney+, having voiced the colorful standout Dante on the animated series 101 Dalmatian Street.

Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen)
Adria Arjona, who began to earn something of a “Geek Goddess” reputation even before joining the Andor cast, plays a Lightsider named Bix Caleen who crosses paths with Cassian.
She portrayed Dorothy in Emerald City (NBC's modern, limited series remake of The Wizard of Oz), Kaijus in Pacific Rim: Uprising, an occultist in Amazon Prime's Good Omens, and bloodsuckers in Morbius in 2022.
She also had a recurring part on True Detective Season 2, co-starred in Netflix's 6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds, and played the bride in HBO Max's Father of the Bride remake.
