Splinterlands Metaverse: Crypto, Play to Earn, NFT Metaverse Revolution

The metaverse is unquestionably a popular buzzword right now, but does anyone really understand what it is? I guess Splinterlands' Metaverse is close!

Are any other players noticing the increased emphasis on stories, comic books, land, and lore? What about non-playable items (NFTs) that aren't usable in the game? Developer expansion? Constant talk of big plans beyond what we've seen so far?

The NFT gaming experience was officially launched by Splinterlands. They were the ones who pushed the rental market forward when no one else could. They were the overnight success that had been three years in the making because they are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Splinterlands is succeeding in an era when copycat crypto games are popping up everywhere and failing miserably because the developers have spent years laying the groundwork for it. They appear to be laying the groundwork for the creation of the metaverse at this time.

As for the future, when everyone in the metaverse begins to use boring, cookie-cutter approaches to opening up, Splinterlands will completely destroy them.

Were you able to meet some of your favorite monsters? How well would you be able to work the land or observe the battles unfold in front of you while looking your adversary directly in the eyes from across the battlefield? Would you be able to attend the upcoming comic book scenes? Do you want to grab a beer with your buddy Alric? Would it be integrated into Sandbox or Decentraland, or would it be developed independently?

This is a label that many people are beginning to use. It is also a novel concept, one that captures the essence of the Metaverse in a simple and straightforward manner.

Play2Earn is transforming the way people interact with games. Because of the use of blockchain technology, in-game currencies now have a monetary value. At the same time, because of NFTs, all in-game assets are considered to be private property. With the introduction of governance tokens, we are witnessing a shift away from the traditional corporate-owned model of game development.

During the most recent episode of CryptoManics, I was asked if it was now possible to make a living off of Splinterlands. There is no doubt that the game is becoming more diverse in terms of what it offers. Certainly, when considering a question of this nature, one's the geographical location and financial situation come into play. Some people must achieve a much higher level of proficiency due to the high cost of living in their area.

Having said that, Splinterlands is demonstrating to everyone how the #Play2Earn model is taking shape. Anyone can begin the game with a barebones pack and reap the benefits. Each game offers a cash prize that accumulates over time as the player plays more games. Long-term players amass a collection of cards and other tokens that improve their chances of success.

It is a concept that will be adopted by a large portion of the gaming industry. Ultimately, many will be faced with the choice of either participating in a game developed by a major corporation for little financial reward or joining a game like Splinterlands, which allows one to accumulate monetary and other assets.

By the end of this decade, the Metaverse will be the primary means of earning a living for many people.

It is becoming more and more common to use the Internet. Basically, this is going to be all over the place. Many people have already reached the point where they are constantly “online” As more people become educated, this trend will continue to grow. As sensors are integrated into more and more items, a digital layer is forming around our physical environment.

According to my observations, we are witnessing a merging of the online and offline worlds. This will have an impact on how people interact as well as the type of earnings or rewards they receive.

The expansion of blockchain technology will serve as a foundation for the events that are taking place. This gives applications (as well as games) the ability to incorporate rewards into their design for whatever activities are relevant to the project at hand.

If we take this concept a step further, we can see that the tokenization process is being applied to almost everything. As a result, people's primary occupations will be based on their online activities.

It also serves as a “visual” representation of how events are likely to unfold over the next couple of generations. A large number of components that will be present in the virtual world are being incorporated into the game. With the land sale, we now have a better understanding of how development will proceed in that area.

When we combine this with Virtual Reality, we begin to see the potential that Splinterlands holds in store.

For the sake of argument, let's pretend that Splinterlands has a city-building feature. Traveling through that realm, one would participate in “game” activities that brought in money. Isn't that what work is, even if the person is only doing it for the sake of amusement?

The fact that we're looking at something that's common means that we'll see a lot of people in this area. It's easy to see how many things will run automatically once artificial intelligence (AI) is implemented. The physical and digital worlds will be brought together by augmented reality.

To put it succinctly, the Internet will soon shift from a social to an experiential medium. As technology progresses, we can expect to see these platforms become more rational. As a result, when playing in full immersion, a game like Splinterlands could provide a slew of additional features that benefit everyone.
