According to the Daily Mail, Canadian actor Saint Von Colucci, who had 12 procedures to make him resemble BTS vocalist Jimin, has passed away at the age of 22. The actor passed away on April 23 at a hospital in South Korea from problems related to plastic surgery he underwent a few months prior.
Who Was Saint Von Colucci?
Saint Von Colucci, born on December 28, 2000, in Quebec, Canada, was a Canadian actor. After leaving Canada for South Korea in 2019 to pursue a career in music, he was rumored to have been cast in the Korean drama series Pretty Lies the previous year.
The series, which was scheduled to premiere on a U.S. streaming service this year, was shot between June and December of 2022. Before relocating from Canada to South Korea, Saint Von Colucci worked as a child actress and model and had a lifelong passion for music, particularly emo/pop.
Saint Von Colucci Death Cause
On Saturday night, his spokesman revealed, he had surgery to remove the jaw implants he'd gotten in November of 2022. However, he became infected after the operation and required intubation. A few times later, he passed away.
Mr. Colucci, according to his representative Eric Blake, relocated from Canada to South Korea in 2019 to work in the K-pop industry. He dropped $220,000 on a dozen cosmetic treatments, including a facelift, rhinoplasty, liposuction, eyelid surgery, and brow lift.
The actor's natural hair and eye color were both dark blonde before the procedure. He was 6 feet tall. According to Mr. Blake, the actor was “insecure about his looks” and hence insisted on going through with the jaw implant operation despite knowing the hazards involved.
His jaw and chin were fairly square, a feature he found unattractive because he felt it made his face look wider. He was aiming for the characteristic V-shape of many Asians. He suffered from severe facial insecurity. Mr. Blake remarked that it was difficult for him to find work in South Korea because of his Western appearance.
Mr. Colucci was reportedly in South Korea to film an episode of the Korean drama Pretty Lies. One of the leads, an international student, was portrayed by him. In October, the series will debut on a US streaming site.
