Overlord, Made in Abyss, Classroom of the Elite, Shadows House, Love Live Superstar, and Rent a Girlfriend are just some of the fan favorites that will be back for the 2022 Summer anime lineup.
The latter is a TMS Entertainment adaptation of the popular manga series Rent A Girlfriend by Reiji Miyajima, and its Summer 2020 airing caused a media frenzy.
With last week's conclusion of Rent A Girlfriend's second television broadcast around the world, we have reached the end of the 2022 Summer anime season.
The good news is that Rent a Girlfriend season 3 was officially revealed only a few hours before the finale aired; here is all you need to know, including our early release slate predictions for the third date.

Rent a Girlfriend Season 3 Release Date: When Will It Air?
Though no official date has been announced as of yet, Rent a Girlfriend season 3 is likely going to premiere sometime between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.

The anime is written by Mitsutaka Hirota and directed by Kazuomi Koga. To date, few specifics about the new season have been shared, however, it has been reported that this will change after a special event.
For the next season, TMS Entertainment will once again serve as the animation studio. Crunchyroll, Sentai Filmworks, and Muse Communications have all purchased licenses for Rent a Girlfriend.
Season 3 of Rent a Girlfriend will continue the story from Season 2 and adapt the remaining volumes of the manga. The protagonist of the episode is a college student who, after experiencing a real breakup, leases a girlfriend, as suggested by the show's title.
His predicament compels him to keep up the charade, and he eventually rents other women to play the role of his “girlfriends.
What is Rent a Girlfriend Season 3 About?
The third season of Rent-A-Girlfriend will pick up where the second season left off, which is around Chapter 104 of the manga. It will focus on the well-known Rental Girlfriend's Dream Arc, in which Kazuya and Chizuru attempt to make a film.
They hope that Chizuru's dying grandmother will live to see her granddaughter realize her ambition of becoming a professional actress. Another new character, Mini Yaemori, will join the cast this season. This plot line is the most moving of all the others because of how it ends.

Rent a Girlfriend Season 3 Plot
Kinoshita Kazuya, a miserable college student, introduces Mizuhara Chizuru, a graceful rental girlfriend, as his girlfriend to his family and friends.
Time goes on and Kazuya is unable, to tell the truth, because he is surrounded by beautiful women: his devilish ex-girlfriend Nanami Mami, who keeps returning to tempt him for some reason; his hyper-aggressive provisional girlfriend Sarashina Ruka, who doesn't know how to take no for an answer; and his super-shy, but diligent and hard-working younger rental girlfriend, Sakurasawa Sumi.
Pubs, beaches, hot springs, the holidays, and New Year's… Through it all, Kazuya's affection for Chizuru has only grown stronger. But then she reveals something that could rock their “relationship” to its foundations.

The producers of Rent-A-Girlfriend have officially announced the show will be returning. Although it hasn't been confirmed, the anime's primary cast is likely returning to their roles.
