Queenpins:- Know about the Scam Supermarket

Coupon hoarding hasn't been this crazy before, or has it? Queenpins is a film based on a true story of the biggest scam supermarkets could have ever endured. Directed by Aron Gauder and Gita Pullapilly, it is an American film packed with humour.

Casting the Queenpins

Bebe Rexha is up for her acting debut, rising up on the ladder of fame sharing screen with our all-time favourite Kristen Bell. Kristen and Kirby Howell-Baptiste are playing the role of two housewives who turned their hoarding craze into a turnover of about (Brace yourself as it is not gonna be anything close to believable amount.) $40 million!!! Yes, you heard it right. The police confiscated $25 million worth of fake coupons alongside commodities worth way more than that. Weapons, vehicles and boats all prove that these women were living the life of their dreams.

The scam was no more for getting money to run households, but it turned into an obsession. Kristen and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as best friends off-screen too? What? The shooting must have been fun, as they, along with Bebe, made a great trio. Popstar, after her singing, is now gonna take our heart away with her sassy acting.

Some other great names on board, like Paul Walter Hauser and Vince Vaughn are set to mark their theatre release with a blast. With Paul as supermarket loss prevention officer and Vince as US postal inspector, these two scammers can’t evade the consequences for long.

The Gamble

This story reveals the incident of July 2012. Three women in their 40s, one suburban homemaker, named Connie and another Jojo, a blogger, planned the sharpest of all crimes with the help of Tempe Tina, who will help these two make their plan full proof. Their artifice stunned all Americans. Let's have a look at how this masterpiece was crafted into existence.

Not a Masterpiece

A website named savvyshoppersite.com directs shoppers to coupon with an irresistible deal of 100 per cent return rate if any of their coupons didn't profit it's the user. The deal these women offered was so good that it was impossible for it to stay under the veil for long. Almost 40 businesses filed the complaint against the losses they were facing with some multinational companies like Procter & Gamble, Hershey and PepsiCo. The plan these women pulled out did make a lot of money, but it lacked nitigrities that may have kept the police at bay. After all, they were a couple of housewives.

The pack of thieves used a series of 12 Bank accounts to store their money, One of which has an astounding amount of more than 2 million dollars. Authorities eventually traced Ramirez’s activity back to 2007.

The plan falls apart

In the wake of the bust, all three women pleaded guilty. Fountain and Johnson both were held guilty for counterfeiting. Ramirez was held accountable for counterfeiting, fraud, and illegal control of an enterprise and was sentenced to twenty-four months in prison and seven years probation. They were also penalized and were expected to give Procter & Gamble more than $1.2 million.

The film also focuses on wealth discripenciences that's been gripping the middle class. The makers of the film also share this sentiment that venture which started once as, what we would like to call as Robin hood style goes out of the hand only to end up as sheer crime.
