Players in the new cosmic horror shooter Quantum Error are likely to be terrified, thanks to evocative cinematics that are reminiscent of the Metal Gear and Resident Evil franchises, among others. The title made headlines back in March 2020 when it was announced as the first horror game to be confirmed on the PlayStation 5.
TeamKill Media, the independent firm behind Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris, is currently working on a new game called Quantum Error. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched in an attempt to raise $65,000.
TeamKill intends to put build a motion-capture setup and employ voice actors to contribute to the project. According to Micah Jones, one of the group's co-founders, the additional funds will be used to hire animators and support game development.
The title's reliance on what appears to be a sluggish crowdfunding campaign strikes an ominous chord, although it is still possible that it may meet its release date. What we do know about Quantum Error thus far is summarized here.
What is the release date for Quantum Error?
Quantum Error has not yet been given a specific release date, although it will be available in a wide range of time frames. In June 2020, TeamKill tweeted to a fan, stating that Quantum Error would most likely be released in 2021.
It has also been confirmed via the GoFundMe campaign that TeamKill Media plans to distribute the film in 2021.
Quantum Error will be released on the PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 in early 2015. The development community will be able to take advantage of the DualSense controller on the PlayStation 5 in the next-generation release.
As previously stated, the Quantum Error team informed WCCFTech that the game would make use of the new console's ray tracing features as well as the Tempest 3D audio engine.
Given that the firm is now attempting to fund significant portions of the game and soliciting fan input for game mechanics on Twitter, you may have to wait a little longer than you expect.
Future Xbox Series X owners may be able to play Quantum Error at some point in the future, but for the time being, it is a PlayStation-exclusive title.
Is there a trailer for Quantum Error?
There have already been multiple trailers for Quantum Error produced by TeamKill Media. The Announcement Teaser was released on March 27, 2020, and has since gone viral. In conjunction with Gamescom's Opening Night, the creators unveiled an Official Story Trailer, which was followed by a more substantial Gameplay Preview during the Future Games Show.
Viewers have compared Quantum Error to such horror classics as Dead Space, Doom 3, and Alien: Isolation, among other titles. There's plenty of dramatic tension to keep players on their toes.
It is still a work in progress, and TeamKill is looking for constructive feedback to make the game even better, the developers have stated.
The Quantum Error production team has been quite responsive on social media in response to questions about the game's development and future plans, making the official Quantum Error Twitter account an excellent place to go for up-to-date information on the game's progress.
Quantum Error Plot & Gameplay

The trailers make it abundantly evident that once you get to the site, things quickly deteriorate. A dark thing has assaulted the location, and it's possible that the mysterious adversary is still lurking around. This is more than just a fire.
