Following the explosive season two finale, Monet is certain to learn that her husband Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon) murdered her son Zeke by mistake.
Tariq, who initially wanted to leave the drugs game after getting away with the murder of Professor Jabari Reynolds (Justin McManus), has decided to stay and become the new connect now that Mecca is out of the picture.
On the other hand, Brayden, who saved Tariq from life in prison after confessing to being the student selling drugs on campus and exposing himself as the CEO of their drug peddling app Course Correct, betrayed him when he set up Tariq's college girlfriend Lauren, whose body was discovered after a car accident.

The finale also saw the return of NYPD detective Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Gabriela Curnen), who was revealed to be the cop assigned to confidential informant Mecca. Blanca's return, holding a grainy image of Tariq, is certain to cause major problems for Tariq as she investigates Mecca's shooting.
