What Happens in Playing House?
In “Playing House,” Maggie and Emma are two best friends who have grown up together. Maggie ends her marriage when she finds out on the internet that her husband has been having an affair with another woman. For support, she decides to move in with her best friend Emma.
She does everything she can to help her friend, Maggie, even giving up her successful business in China to move back to their hometown, Pinebrook, so she can help Maggie raise her new baby.
At the start of the show, Emma is busy at work, but she still finds time to go home and throw her best friend Maggie a baby shower. We meet Maggie's husband, who seems like a bad person right away. This is done to make the audience want Emma and Maggie to spend more time together on screen.
This is made worse by the fact that they talk back and forth and finish each other's sentences. Playing House is different because it has a lot of awkward characters and even more awkward situations, like the world's worst baby shower.

The cast of ‘Playing House' is led by Lennon Parham as Maggie Caruso, Emma's childhood best friend who is pregnant and single after a sudden divorce from her husband, and Jessica St. Clair as Emma Crawford, Maggie's best friend who leaves her overseas job to return home and help her.
