Early Life
Paul DelVecchio was born on July 5, 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up in the surrounding region. Pauly D is the son of Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr., and he is descended entirely from Italian ancestors (in his own words). Vanessa is the name of his younger sister. Pauly D went to Johnston High School, where he received his education.
Career
He began his professional DJing career as a local DJ going by the moniker “Pauly D,” and one of his professional heroes was the legendary DJ AM. Pauly D gained huge popularity among young people almost immediately after he appeared as a cast member on the MTV reality series Jersey Shore in 2009.
Pauly D stated that he was picked for the show not because of his music, but rather because of his appearance. A casting director contacted him over MySpace and requested his phone number, after which he was flown to Rhode Island by a camera team to capture a day in the life of the actor.
A little over six months later, Pauly D was cast in the program, and he was received with widespread adoration. In 2011, he received the Teen Choice Award for Favorite Reality Star: Male, which he received in 2010. Pauly D was reportedly earning $150,000 each episode of Jersey Shore at the height of the show's popularity.
Having been hand-selected by MTV for his spinoff program, Pauly D became the first Jersey Shore roommate to receive his spinoff, named The Pauly D Project, in 2012. The first episode aired on March 29, 2012, and the series is currently in its second season.
Music career
Beat Dat Beat (It's Time To) was Pauly D's first single, which was released in 2010. In 2011, he announced a three-album agreement with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and G-Note Records, which would be released over three years. 50 Cent later acknowledged that this agreement had been reached.
His nominations for America's Best DJ competition followed his triumph on Jersey Shore in 2010 and 2011, which helped him further his recognition at the time. Announcing that he will be opening for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour in 2011, he then began working with Big Sean, who became his collaborator in 2012.
The song “Back to Love” was published on January 15, 2012, and it was his debut single. Jay Sean, a British vocalist, contributed vocals to the track. In 2016, Pauly D released the track Did You Know (featuring Tdot ILLdude). Silver & Gold, Pauly D's third song, which features James Kaye, was released on April 5, 2019, and is available now. As of this writing, he has not yet released a full-length album.
Other Ventures
In August 2012, Pauly D was named the social media ambassador for Wrestling Inc.'s SummerSlam, an annual pay-per-view wrestling event held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
With the addition of Pauly D to the cast of E! Network's reality show Famously Single, which followed eight single celebrities as they lived in a house together while working through their relationship problems, Pauly D has become a household name.
It was on the program that he met and later married Aubrey O'Day; they went on to star in Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars 11, which premiered in 2018.
With his Jersey Shore co-stars returning for a second season, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, set in Miami in 2018, DelVecchio has re-joined the ensemble. Earlier this year, Pauly D featured in the MTV reality dating series Double Shot at Love, where he co-starred with former Jersey Shore castmate Vinny Guadagnino.

Personal Life
Pauly D and singer Aubrey O'Day were temporarily married from 2016-to 2018. He dated fellow Jersey Shore cast member Jenni Jwwow Farley in 2009, but the relationship parted after just two months.
In October 2013, Pauly D revealed that he was a father to a young girl called Amabella Sophia. The infant is presently residing in New Jersey with her mother but there is supposedly a custody dispute going on between Pauly D and the baby's mother.
