Partner Track is based on Helen Wan's 2013 novel of the same name. It's about a first-generation Korean American named Ingrid Yun trying to make it at an elite law firm in New York City.
Along with the legal drama, cutthroat office politics, and friendships, there is also a rom-com element as Ingrid tries to balance her desire to become a partner at the firm and her desire to pursue her romantic interests.
Partner Track hasn't been picked up for a second season by Netflix yet, but the first season ended with a big cliffhanger that sets up a possible Season 2. Jinny Howe, who is in charge of Netflix dramas, said another episode might be coming.
“We are delighted. We have some ideas about what Season 2 could be like, and I know that our creator, Georgia Lee, has an obvious idea of what Season 2 would be like,” she told Deadline in an interview that came out on August 23.
“So yes, we are in early conversations considering how excited we are about how Season 1 turned out.” While you wait for the official word, here's everything you need to know about a possible Season 2 of Partner Track.
Plan for Season 2 of Partner Track
Ingrid and Jeff end up together after a long game of will they or won't they? In the last episode of Season 1, Ingrid finds out that Jeff betrayed her and kept her from becoming a partner. Due to the cliffhanger, Season 2 could pick up with what happened after that sad discovery.

Howe says that Partner Track will probably keep talking about diversity and inclusion in the workplace, which Lee knows much about from personal experience. In her interview with Deadline, she said, “I think a lot of this comes from a very personal place, from Georgia's experience in these white-shoe firms.”
“There has been a lot of talk about how to show these issues in the world of our show. It's a balance — there's a lot of fun, ambition, and romance — but what makes it feel like a show you haven't seen before is that it's told through the eyes of Ingrid Yun.”
Who's in Season 2 of Partner Track?
The primary Season 1 cast includes Arden Cho (Indrid Yung), Bradley Gibson (Tyler Robinson), Alexandra Turshen (Rachel Friedman), Rob Heaps (Nick Laren), Matthew Rauch (Marty Adler), Nolan Gerard Funk (Dan Fallon), Dominic Sherwood (Jeff Murphy), and Roby Attal. It's unclear who might come back for a second season (Justin).
Cho told The Hollywood Reporter what was different about her character: “She's not the shy, submissive Asian girl that people might expect. She is fearless. Many women in these cutthroat corporate worlds try to hide their feminine sides to get respect, but if Ingrid wants to wear pink, she'll wear pink.
Partner Track Season 2 Premiere Date
Since Netflix hasn't given the go-ahead for a second season yet, there isn't a date for when it will come out. But Season 1 was shot from September 2021 to February 2022.
Fans can expect Season 2 to start around August 2023 if production stays on the same schedule. This post will be changed as more information about Partner Track Season 2 comes out.
Season 1 Ending Explained
Ingrid, Tyler, and Rachel bring Wujay to the shareholders' meeting just in time and successfully unseat Suncorp CEO Ted Lassiter in the last minutes of Partner Track's Season 1 finale. “Z” Zi-Xin Min's father, Franklin, becomes Vice Chair, and Z becomes the new CEO of Suncorp.

Murphy tells Ingrid he loves her after the big triumph, but Marty curses her out for the prank and threatens to kill her career. Z intervenes to stop him, explaining that his company will lose Suncorp's business if Ingrid isn't their relationship partner.
Marty tries to smear Ingrid's reputation by revealing that she was recently released from jail, and while Z is unconcerned, Ingrid is. Marty admits Murphy told him about her arrest when she asks how he found out about it.
The series concludes with Ingrid and Murphy exchanging a solemn glance across the room, and, uh, we have some questions. There would be a lot of new tales to explore if Partner Track returned for Season 2.
We'd see Ingrid, Rachel, and Tyler begins new chapters in their lives: Ingrid would return to the firm and work with Z, Rachel would reconcile with Justin and pursue playwriting, and Tyler would begin a new job with a new man in his life.
We'd also probably look into Ingrid and Murphy's relationship and see if he's the serpent that the conclusion of Season 1 portrays him to be. At the same time, we await word on Partner Track's renewal status.
