The Sherman-Palladinos, who wrote Maisel following the success of Gilmore Girls, will be joined by some familiar characters — as well as some old acquaintances from their previous work on Gilmore Girls. It has been confirmed that both Kelly Bishop, best known for her role as Emily Gilmore on the previous show, and Milo Ventimiglia, well known for his part as the mischievous Jess on Gilmore Girls, will be appearing in new roles set in the 1960s.
