Maksim Chmerkovskiy said on Instagram, ‘This is the hottest bride I have ever seen and this was the best party I have ever attended.'
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are joyously celebrating a momentous milestone.
On Monday, Murgatroyd specially celebrated their seven-year wedding anniversary with Chmerkovskiy by sharing a throwback photo of their marriage on Instagram.
On Monday, Murgatroyd shared a throwback photo from their wedding on Instagram, writing in the caption,
“I guess the 7th year itch didn't happen?? 🤷🏼♀️haha!” Murgatroyd began in the caption of her post. “
“I ♥️ you @maksimc,” she continued. “7 years married & 10 years together. Thank you for flirting with me way back in 2012 and putting the moves on me to get us 3 children, a dog and a beautiful life.”
Chmerkovskiy, 44, shared a photo from their 2017 wedding, writing, “Married for 7 years! Here with you for another 70 years! You are the most beautiful bride and it was the best party of my life!” Margetroyd, 37, also shared a photo of the spectacular wedding, which took place at Oheka Castle in New York, on her Instagram account.
Last September, the couple told their fans that the wedding venue is very special to them.
“It's amazing. We dreamed of this wedding. We wanted it to be in a castle. I came to America in the '90s and found this place. I always wanted to get married here. Being in that place for such a special occasion was incredible,” Chmerkovskiy told PEOPLE. The So You Think You Can Dance judge said one of his favorite memories from the day was seeing their two worlds come together.
“I was like, how are these two people in the same room? It was a moment of, wow, what a celebration. And oh, it's our celebration. It was amazing,” said Chmerkovskiy.
Murgatroyd's most memorable moment was after they were pronounced husband and wife.
“I was trying not to trip over my dress. When they said, ‘You are now husband and wife,' I thought, ‘Wow, I'm married.' It was a good moment,” she said.
She and Chmerkovskiy have two sons, Shai, 7, and Rio, who turned 1 in June. Chmerkovskiy told PEOPLE in April that expanding their family is exciting. “I feel like I'm part of a small club now. I understand what it's like for families with a lot of kids. I didn't before, but now I get it,” he said. “Most importantly, I want to honor parents with many kids who do it right. I don't know how they manage yet.”
