Melissa Viviane Jefferson (born April 27, 1988) is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter better known as Lizzo. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and then relocated to Houston, Texas, where she began performing, before moving to Minneapolis, where she started her hip-hop music recording career.
