Sydney “Syd” Burnett, played by Gabrielle Union of LA's Finest, is the sister of Marcus Burnett, played by Martin Lawrence in the Bad Boys films.

Will There Be a La’s Finest Season 3?
Spectrum canceled LA's Finest after two seasons, so there won't be a third season — but the show could make a comeback in some form. Spectrum premiered the show in May of 2019, and Fox picked it up for the following season.
The cable company decided to cancel Spectrum Originals in October 2020 due to growing production costs, and the service has subsequently been taken away.
Union expressed her desire for a revival of the show, maybe in the shape of a movie, during an appearance on TNT's NBA post-game show to promote her remake of Cheaper By The Dozen.
