Storyline

The Amazing Spider-Man #15 is the first time we see the bad guy (1964). The character Stan Lee and Steve Ditko made is one of the Sinister Six. In later stories, Calypso, the witch doctor, gives Kravinoff a herbal potion that makes him faster and gives him the same senses as a wild jungle cat.

Kraven, on the other hand, has never been used for anything other than being a Spider-Man villain. So it's hard to see how they can make a story about the character that doesn't involve the wall-crawler in some way.

So far, there is no word that Tom Holland will be in the movie. One idea would be for Kraven to come to the big city and try to catch Spider-Man as the ultimate prize. But since this is all from Kraven's point of view, Spider-Man would never be seen without his mask. This means he could be played by anyone.

Triple Frontier's J.c. Chandor is Directing the Kraven the Hunter Movie

Antoine Fuqua, who directed Training Day and the Netflix thriller The Guilty, was in talks to direct the Kraven the Hunter movie in 2018. At the time, the movie was still in its early stages of development. In the end, the job went to J.C. Chandor in 2020.

Matt Holloway, Art Marcum, and Richard Wenk Share Credit for the Kraven the Hunter Script

When Antoine Fuqua was still in the running to direct Kraven the Hunter, Richard Wenk was already working on a script for the Marvel movie. Wenk had worked with Fuqua before as the screenwriter for The Equalizer (2014), its sequel (2018), and Fuqua's remake of The Magnificent Seven (2016).

Wenk has also written the scripts for The Expendables 2, Jack Reacher: Never Back Down, and The Protégé, a thriller starring Maggie Q that came out more recently. After J.C. Chandor was officially chosen to direct Kraven the Hunter in 2020.

Matt Holloway and Art Marcum were brought in to write a new draught of the script. Shadow of Fear, which came out in 2004, was the first movie based on their work. Since then, they've helped write the screenplays for big hits like Iron Man in 2008 and Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017.
