Over a decade ago, Dreka and the Baton Rouge rapper initially met.
To commemorate Kevin's 25th wedding anniversary, Dreka posted a tribute to his memory on her blog in October of that year.
Her Instagram post stated that the couple had been together for 17 years.
They would have celebrated their 18th anniversary as a couple in October of last year.
Khaza Kamil Gates and Islah Koren Gates are the couple's two children, born in 2015.
During an interview with Complex in 2020, Kevin commented about how Dreka had been a rock in his life, and how much he misses her.

During his time in prison, the 36-year-old musician lauded Dreka for his unwavering loyalty and support.

Rapper Responds to Fan Asking About Split Rumours
Since Kevin's tweet about missing ex-girlfriends in March 2022, rumors about their breakup have been rampant.

Because of this, many fans assumed they had split up, which led to a slew of speculations.
After receiving a question from a fan about his and Dreka's connection recently, Big Gangsta rapper reacted.
Where the hell is Dreka in all of this? wrote a follower beneath a video of the rapper's work.

Kevin responded to the fan by writing, “Guess I lost a fan for making myself happy.”
