Jo Mersa Marley Biography
Marley, who was born in Jamaica but raised in Miami, eventually joined his family band, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. In middle school, he started creating songs & in 2010, he released his first single, “My Girl,” which he recorded alongside his cousin Daniel Bambaata Marley.
For his dad's 2016 CD, “Revelation Part 2: The Fruit of Life,” he & his dad recorded a song together. Marley was raised by his musician father & his uncle Ziggy, aunts Sharon and Cadella, and cousins.
In an earlier interview with Rolling Stone, Jo Mersa Marley discussed the pervasive influence of music throughout his childhood.
“When I got home, I'd intend to finish my homework, but I'd inevitably be sidetracked by the studio. You'd always be popping in and out to check on things ” He went on to say.
He was set on forging his own course and in 2021 debuted with the album Eternal. There, he concentrated on studio engineering. Miami Dade College.
He had previously told Rolling Stone, “I am one of the new generations of Marleys, but I am still exploring at the same time.” My goal is to provide a path forward from my heritage.

What Was Jo Mersa Marley's Cause of Death?
Radio station WZPP in South Florida reports that Jo Mersa had an asthma attack while driving and died there. He left behind a wife and children & his unexpected demise has led to an outpouring of appreciation from the musical and political realms.
Jo Mersa originally appeared in the music industry in 2014 when he launched his EP “Comfortable.” He also appeared on one of Morgan Heritage's albums.
