Jodie Marie Comer (born March 11, 1993) is a British actress who plays Rey's mother in Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, which was released in 2019.
She is best known for her roles in the spy thriller series Killing Eve as Russian assassin Oksana Astankova / Villanelle, for which she received a BAFTA Award for Best Actress and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and as Marguerite de Carrouges in the historical drama film The Last Duel (where she acts opposite fellow The Rise of Skywalker actor Adam Driver).

Jodie Comer, star of Killing Eve, stunned fans when she appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in a critical role in 2019.
Jodie was revealed to be Rey's mother, and Billy Howle was revealed to be her father, a Palpatine clone, both of whom were tragically murdered while shielding a young Rey from her Sith Lord grandfather.
It was a crucial part because the question of Rey's parentage had sparked heated debate among Star Wars fans since her initial appearance in The Force Awakens.
However, while Comer played Rey's mother in a flashback scene during a fight sequence between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), we never learned her name.

Meanwhile, she demonstrated her ability to hold her own when she co-starred in the new film Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds (she even embarrassed him in the trailer).
